    Pros

Like most workplaces, if you step up, leave your baggage at the door, do your job exceedingly well, strive to meet the in-place metrics and engage students you'll find this job very rewarding. Yeah, it's tough sometimes, yeah it doesn't pay a lot and yeah, there are good & not so good managers, but I know I've made a difference in a lot of students lives... I know that doesn't pay the bills, but you can't hang a salary on that. We are all called to serve others... Problem is most of us serve only ourselves

    Cons

Constantly having to meet numbers of one kind or another can be draining.

    Advice to Management

    Look beyond the numbers sometimes

    Pros

The only pro to working at ITT Technical Institute would have to be that you are employed. I have never worked for a company that cares so little for their employees.

    Cons

Very high employee turn over rate. Zero training in every department. Pay is the worst and if you move up in the company they give you a flat 9% raise. They do not give annual raises, only a .50% or 1% raise for cost of living. But when you make $12 per hour, 12 cents just doesn't help you adjust to the cost of living. Too many reports, phone call and business meetings that amount to nothing, except to tell you that you are not doing enough to get students in the door. Absolutely no employee moral boosting or pats on the back. They absolutely do not care about their employee's and that's the bottom line.

    Advice to Management

listen to your employee's, we actually do have good ideas

    Pros

"Okay" benefit package and very reasonable starting salary

    Cons

Work-life balance, unreasonable metrics, admissions departments are a joke, very bad reputation legally as well as in the education industry.

    Advice to Management

Corporate…. do something about your lead system. It is the worst I have seen in the admissions/lead business EVER. Reality check: Someone that inquired 4 years ago, that you have been calling 5 times a day for the past 4 years that originally told you they were not interested…IS NOT A LEAD and it is completely unfair to judge an admissions rep's performance of being able to turn such a "lead into an enrollment'. I am surprised you have not been sued by the attorney general for violations of the "Do not call list".

I worked at ITT Technical Institute

    Pros

It is a paying gig, decent benelfits, clean environment.

    Cons

Very few education programs to offer undergrad, often in remote hard to commute locations, IT school with mediocre VOMPUTER systems, Call Center Set up...LITERALLY Sit You elbow To elbow with the next rep yelling into your phone. Mediocre Management.

    Advice to Management

Train managers, directors, seek out better location , concider student commute, upgrade computer Systems

    Pros

My manager seemed to care, but didn't have a lot of room to put his concerns into effect. Too much control from the top.

    Cons

I has a hard time teaching the canned curriculum. I couldn't stand not being able to adapt to my students' needs and interests. It was sad that so many of my students weren't really ready for higher education.

    Advice to Management

You are teaching people, not robots.
