    Pros

A steady pay check. Some students wanted to learn and succeed upon graduation. Going home at the end of the day.

    Cons

I have never in my life worked in such a hostile and toxic work environment. The goals you are expected to reach are unattainable and unreachable. Teachers are evaluated on student attendance and how many pass. Where I went to school when I was a student I was evaluated on that, not my teacher. They have turned education on its head.

The turnover at my location was over the top. In A little over 2 1/2 years I saw the following: 2 campus directors, 3 directors of recruiting (one resigned with no notice), 3 directors of finance, 4 associate deans, 2 deans, 3 program chairs (one resigned without notice). All of these who moved on can not be wrong. ITT is the common denominator.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating people as if they are replaceable. Stop brow beating people over number they have no control or ability to reach. The recent events in the media have sullied your image. Every person who fire for not reaching unattainable numbers or resigns due to the toxic environment has become an ambassador to tell anyone who would could consider enrolling in ITT exactly what you stand for.

For 18 months the members of the program advisory committee recommended spending less than $70.00 on a set of books that would be placed in the library for the students to use. This recommendation was rejected by the dean each time. You have not problem taking tens of thousands of dollars from these students, but are unwilling to spend less than $70.00 on a resource the advisory committee recommended for 18 months.

Keep doing what you are doing and you will go the way of other for profit schools that are no longer in business.

simply part time, at this point

    Pros

    The school's programs sells itself.

    Cons

High turnover rate due to lack of training to support goals. Matrix-goals constantly are changing.

    Advice to Management

Provide training that impacts on enrollment goals for Admissions . Hire lead-generation companies that are effective.

    Pros

Strong name brand and fairly solid program & career options. Bldg was renovated making the work spaces easier to function. (Has 4 different desks/offices in 3 years). Most of the staff and associates were very nice to work with daily.

    Cons

Low salary, policy & performance evaluation changes made it more challenging to move up the pay scale annually and more difficult to hit goals in every category. Mystery Shoppers utilized on a regular basis unfairly and offered no options to challenge what was reported, even false statements that could affect employee performance ratings, status for continued employment.

    Advice to Management

*Be consistent with policies in place. *Have a system in place where employees have the ability to defend themselves if written up due to Mystery Shoppers reports. With no contact after the fact and no proof of what was said or avenue to challenge the report of people hired by a third party - the system is flawed and unjust.

    Pros

People really desire to make a difference in the lives of the students. If you want to do well there is room for advancement but you will have to work hard and show that you are worth moving up.

    Cons

The pay is not competitive for what you do. Just like many companies they are constantly putting more and more on you. Everyone makes the same thing regardless of effort or success.

    Advice to Management

Listen to those who work at the campus level. They are the ones in the trenches.

    Pros

Pay is very good given that they are asking for no degree or experience

    Cons

The hours are varied and you will work more Saturdays than claimed at interview
This is a telemarketing job under the guise of assisting the students; the idea being to place the student or "make that sale" rather than really doing what is best for that individual and when the student leaves the school, per management it is you as the rep's fault and not the fact that a student felt pushed into going into a program that they really did not intend to go into.

    Advice to Management

Actually make it about the student and not the sale; if a person comes in and states that what they really want to do is not offered don't make them settle for something they don't want to do

    Pros

If you like the fact that you can earn money by making or exceeding your quota in this call center atmosphere this is the place for you.

    Cons

Unfortunately some of the students that get in are not computer literate and are destine to fail.

    Advice to Management

Care more about the students than the bottom line

    Pros

Pay is above market rate for the industry, Work can be enjoyable

    Cons

High turn-over rate on campus administrators, hours are very bad, and there is very little redress for any complaints.

    Advice to Management

The corporate environment is very suffocating to employee individuality. Instructors have no say-so in classroom and employees are not permitted any room for growth.
