    Pros

Incredible environment and culture! I really like working here as people are valued for who they are and not merely what their titles are or how much they make etc.

    Cons

None whatsoever that I can think of

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing.

    Pros

I have seen an incredible turnaround in the 56 year old company.Collaborative work environment with all divisions has led to incredible growth in recent years. It treats its employees as adults allowing them to be involved in the direction of the company. Transparent management providing complete financials and reporting to all employees every month

    Cons

some greater flexibility in its benefits for employees

    Advice to Management

keep up the great work! Changes within the organizaion are having an impact outside the organization particulary helping others to find meaningful work

    Pros

I love my colleagues and the opportunities that we get to celebrate a great working culture and the innovative work that we do. Management is transparent and open with financials and the status of the organization and there is clear direction on how we're moving forward as a company.

    Cons

I would love to see more clarity around opportunities for growth

    Advice to Management

Let's get compensation on the table as a focus for the coming year. Not necessarily more $, but a conversation around how and why it's structured the way it is.

    Pros

Ian Martin group is truly a great place to work. All employees have a chance to grow in their career and become successful leaders.
The social atmosphere here is great, lots of social activities and community service that helps engage all employees and create a better operating team.
In addition, there's always opportunities to take on various different tasks which makes each a day a different experience.

    Cons

Compensation could be a little more comparable to current market values.

    Advice to Management

    You're doing a great job

    Pros

    - Flexible work environment
    - You can be yourself
    - Allowed time to Volunteer and give back
    - Opportunity to be part of any internal initiatives

    Cons

These aren't really con's but items that require additional engagement outside of your day to day job.
    - There is lots of change so you need to be agile
    - You need to constantly be looking to upgrade your thinking
    - Reading books and looking to educate yourself must be something you can make time for

    Pros

IMG has all the common perks of being a Great Place to Work (#19 in Canada in 2015), like high employee engagement and great transparency of information, but best of all is the consistent focus put on people doing meaningful work, giving back, and having as much responsibility and freedom that they're ready for.

    Cons

IMG's previous regime was quite different than it is today (and going to be tomorrow), so there are still some leftover practices and belief systems tied to the 'command & control' way of working. These things are all getting addressed in due time though.

    Advice to Management

Keep working through the 'teal' practices especially around self-management. This is an amazing vision and journey!

    Pros

Ian Martin Group has excellent leadership that truly care about the staff who work here. They focus on transparency, communication and strong leadership skills. The idea of self-management has taken root and the executive are pushing this to all levels of the organization.

    Cons

Smaller sized company with very few levels of management which can impact the opportunity to become a manager. If you create your own role to fit your skills you can advance your career.

    Pros

Energetic group of people, who are all dedicated to the success of the company. Great culture, a lot of focus on self development (leadership, giving back, volunteering). Pay is reasonable, large focus on making a living wage.

    Cons

Not all teams are on the same page, distinct difference between departments and not a lot of cross communication between teams and offices. No talented jerks, but some jerks still exist (not the companies fault tho, jerks are everywhere)

    Advice to Management

Build stronger communication and engagement between teams and offices.

    Pros

Very focused on self-improvement and making sure you like your job. A lot of events to take part in and they really encourage volunteering as a group and individually. If you are a team player and have a positive attitude towards being in a team and being happy in your job by helping others, this workplace is for you.

    Cons

Management does not get to see what is happening in the remote offices and does not visit that often. IT can be difficult to approach upper management with issues that seem trivial or not important to them even though it is a concern for the people working in those offices. Employees don't want to be seen as rocking the boat.

    Advice to Management

Encourage and guide your employees towards greatness. Unlocking your employees potential will benefit the team and organzation as a whole.
