    Pros

    Working with really smart people, catered lunches and open dialogue amongst teams.

    Cons

    Lots of pivoting. It is normal for things to change quickly at start ups, but sometimes it seemed as though management did not have a clear vision on which way to steer the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Be more open with teams about long term vision for the company.

    Pros

    The people I worked with were amazing, the catered lunches were incredible, and every team lead and boss was incredibly personable and easy to work with. The Co-CEOs were accessible as well.

    Cons

    No cons, really. Everyone was incredibly easy to work with, and I was able to do my job well thanks to the amount of freedom I was given.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    More bonuses! But really, I have no room to complain.

    Pros

    Some smart people at the company. The promise was good.

    Cons

    CEOs ran the company into the ground. Dishonesty. Feathered their own nest.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Never, ever, ever attempt to found or run a company again. Go back to investment banking.

    I worked at Identified part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Fun, free lunch, snacks, keg, fun events here and there,

    Cons

    Pretty bad management in my opinion. There was a lack of organization, team effort, and communication. I honestly couldn't believe what most managers were talking about until I knew the facts myself. The business model is constantly changing and they werent giving a good transitional talk of where the company was going and how we were going to achieve it as a whole. I also felt like a lot of resume built folks in management werent bringing in the value to the company as they were supposed to. fail.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Really value your employee. They work for you and not as a slave to get work done. This is a start up after all and team effort is really big. Moreover, management should definitely learn to put down their egos, communicate better, and work other more.

    Pros

    * Product Market Fit
    The company has a revenue generating product that has some market traction, so it's nice to know that the company can make money.

    * Great Team Members
    I enjoy working with many of the people at the company. For the most part, egos are left at the door, and people get excited about trying to make the company great.

    * Work-Life Balance
    It's rare to see people working really long hours. The office typically clears out by 6pm.

    Cons

    * Job Security in question
    Since the beginning of the year, the company has let go a lot of good employees. While some of the decisions may be justified, there seems to be an abnormal amount of employee attrition.

    * Creativity Stunted
    In a number of occasions, I feel like I have little control in the decision making process on projects I work on at the company. It's common to see senior managers send out lengthy emails with feedback about projects you're working on or to feel blind-sided by decisions that affect your work. In all, this sense of micromanagement stunted my creativity at work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Acknowledge that there are organizational issues at the company. Additionally, instead of making excuses to why there are problems, work on determining solutions and work with the rest of the company to make things better.

    Pros

    The founders and the team they've assembled are terrific, extremely bright, driven and looking to make a difference in the world. Everyone has a say in how things are done and is trusted to know their business. Continual learning and growth is highly encouraged. The culture is really fun and people truly enjoy working together.

    Cons

    Like other startups, there is a fast paced environment. We don't have the same long term job security that people have at a big, slow moving company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Continue to communicate the vision as it evolves.

    Pros

    Super smart team that doesn't take its self too seriously–but are invested the product and one another. It's fun to be here, even when there's a lot to do.
    Dynamic work environment.
    Opportunities for advancement.
    Plenty of perks–great office and location, free catered lunches.

    Cons

    Growing pains, dynamic work environment–Identified is still a start up (and shouldn't be afraid to act like it).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    There's been improvement in communication between product and business teams, but everyone would benefit from increased transparency on strategic decisions, etc.

    The office location is very convenient, a lot of smart people work there and there is a great company culture where everyone is willing to help and have fun. It feels good to come work at Identified.

    Cons

    The company could act more like a startup. Sales and Engineers don't communicate a lot, that could be improved.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice
