    Market Area Representative (Current Employee) Las Vegas, NV

    ProsNo weekends, paid holiday, health insurance after 90 days with 35 hours pto and 7 sick days, free bagels every friday with food from nice places being served in the office for free if company does good, commission is great if your hitting your numbers, great people to work with if your on right team(4 teams in office), pretty much a simple job if you like cold calling 60 calls a day and being told "im busy" from techs 50 out of 60 calls. Great product to sell but little over priced.

    ConsYou are a victem of the manager and territory you have, VERY HIGH turnover rate for market area reps, rolling quarter(if you don't meet your goals every 90 days they fire you(need 11 sales a month or more to be safe), older MARS or ones that been there for 3 years or more act like its easy but they were selling in time were they had more leads and with the great product was easy to sell, no real new leads unless you do your own research, VERY GREEN floor management, no diversity in upper to corporate level, favorites for some of the market area reps, they sell you on this being a career but there always hiring new market area rep classes every month(if you burn your leads they have more suckers waiting, which shows that this company on cares about the bottom line and try to brainwash employees with free food, movie tickets etc)

    Advice to Senior ManagementGet rid of goldmine and be serious about making the job easier for your MARs on the floor. I shouldn't have to check for fraud, affiliation confirmation, call the same bad data in goldmine etc, invest more in training your employees instead of just firing them and hiring more. It makes the company look bad when you have MAR classes every month. Add more people to your fraud department to help increase more sales, how can 2 people in fraud cover 65 plus MARs in the company in a timely manner. Don't make it seem like were expendable by having closed door meeting every hour. At the end of the day nothing here is going to change because they have a great product and MARs are only there to make company at least 70k or more for company and let them go and keep hiring more suckers. I am here because I need this job and have no degree to get into real sales career.
