I have been working at Identifix full-time

    Pros

Good Staff Decent Pay Great location Great mission and vision before buyout Newer VP-level management seems good, coordinated.

    Cons

Not enough coordination between the departments Lacks good communication Human Resources is rigid, overbearing

    Advice to Management

New management under Solera has cost employee morale. If you value your employees, it will result in bottom line benefits.

I have been working at Identifix full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great people, awesome product..used to have good income potential but that has been taken away..no more bonuses or sales incentives..fun contests etc..it's turned to an hourly job.

    Cons

Company took away all sales incentives and bonuses turning what was once one of the best sales jobs in Vegas to a revolving door job..here today gone tomorrow..we used to be a team..now we are just a number..been there over 5 years and we go thru 20 reps a month, which in the Automotive world is not good..in a shop owners eyes it's about consistency you can't have different rep every other month..leads are worthless..no new leads in 5 years cuz they don't work with foot soldiers which could eliminate alot of bad data...scrap Goldmine and use SalesForce..make it so If bad data u never see it on the front end again..same as Alldata reps..if a shop is closed they mark shop closed and never see it again on front end and they use CRM.. Stripping pay from sales staff will lead to lower sales and higher turnover..Golden Rule in Sales.. "Never mess with a sales persons commissions.: 2 times in year they have screwed the sales staff over..it's all about Solera and nothing about being a family like we once were. New management flat out lied in last month's sales meeting..saying we are not gonna hire anymore...yet new class of 10 hitting floor and another 10 coming onboard... Will soon be a scripted $10 job

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like human beings not servents to Tony..dont focus on numbers so much you lose sight of talented employees...everybody has a down month or 2 in a year.....yet focus on product development and switch to a yearly rolling qtr so an employee can take a family vacation without losing their job when they get back...time to take the advice of your sales staff..put sale staff on the road shaking hands like our competitors. You can't continue to beat the same drum for 15 years without adding to the band!

I have been working at Identifix full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

great pay plan and a truly awesome product.. will give spiffs such as free meals and prizes.

    Cons

not a job you will ever retire from. Limited leads. Three strikes your out rule gives you very little chance to stay more than a few months or years. asks advisee from employees but doesn't listen. no chance for advancement or to grow with the company. can't make quota with out working a 6 day work week. unruly lead pool wastes a lot of time sifting through junk. lots of duplicates ,wrong numbers, etc. this does not allow for self lead generation.

    Advice to Management

make quota for a year rather than month to month this will make employees feel that they can take a vacation without fear of loosing your job. ensure viable leads (not homes, car washes or non auto) before releasing them to employees, change how territories are distributed and sure fair playing field. Make managers responsible for employee turnover.

I have been working at Identifix full-time

    Pros

Friendly people; free on-site car mechanical advice from co-workers; free technical books; free lunches twice a week; no micro-managing

    Cons

Without having worked here very long, I've already experienced enough changes in management/direction to make me leery of the future

    Advice to Management

Develop a plan and stick to it, once that is established, ensure all employees are aware of it

    Pros

Good product, customers love Identifix in every way -- actually it's an awesome product. Has the potential to become incredibly awesome, so many great opportunities for Identifix need to be had.

    Cons

New management and new management style/culture of Solera is extremely disappointing. A lot of departures of key individuals. Innovation is slowing.

    Advice to Management

Grow the team instead of letting it starve. Engineering needs leaders like it once had.

I have been working at Identifix full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The rank and file (co-workers) of Identifix are fabulous. Lots of thoughtful, capable co-workers that make great work friends.

    Cons

Since Solara bought Identifix the culture has changed dramatically. All the new upper management is purely numbers driven and there is little balance between work and home.

    Advice to Management

Think of your employees as human beings and not just numbers (80/20, 90/10 or 30/30).

Great co-workers, great CEO. Clean working environment. The ability to get away from a shop to use similar skills.

    Cons

Difficult customers. Diagnosing vehicle problems is very difficult over the phone.

    Advice to Management

    Provide better technical training.

Only good if your looking for a job not a career

I have been working at Identifix full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

No weekends, paid holiday, health insurance after 90 days with 35 hours pto and 7 sick days, free bagels every friday with food from nice places being served in the office for free if company does good, commission is great if your hitting your numbers, great people to work with if your on right team(4 teams in office), pretty much a simple job if you like cold calling 60 calls a day and being told "im busy" from techs 50 out of 60 calls. Great product to sell but little over priced.

    Cons

You are a victem of the manager and territory you have, VERY HIGH turnover rate for market area reps, rolling quarter(if you don't meet your goals every 90 days they fire you(need 11 sales a month or more to be safe), older MARS or ones that been there for 3 years or more act like its easy but they were selling in time were they had more leads and with the great product was easy to sell, no real new leads unless you do your own research, VERY GREEN floor management, no diversity in upper to corporate level, favorites for some of the market area reps, they sell you on this being a career but there always hiring new market area rep classes every month(if you burn your leads they have more suckers waiting, which shows that this company on cares about the bottom line and try to brainwash employees with free food, movie tickets etc)

    Advice to Management

Get rid of goldmine and be serious about making the job easier for your MARs on the floor. I shouldn't have to check for fraud, affiliation confirmation, call the same bad data in goldmine etc, invest more in training your employees instead of just firing them and hiring more. It makes the company look bad when you have MAR classes every month. Add more people to your fraud department to help increase more sales, how can 2 people in fraud cover 65 plus MARs in the company in a timely manner. Don't make it seem like were expendable by having closed door meeting every hour. At the end of the day nothing here is going to change because they have a great product and MARs are only there to make company at least 70k or more for company and let them go and keep hiring more suckers. I am here because I need this job and have no degree to get into real sales career.
