Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
Pros – The founder and technical director of Idol Minds, Mark Lyons, is an extremely talented visionary with his feet planted firmly on the ground. Business has been around since 1997 which is rare in the indy games biz. Great perks and benefits and Louisville is rated #1 place to live in the nation!
Cons – Occasional crunch periods are the norm. Like all indy game studios, projects are always at risk of being cancelled.

Pros – Good co-workers, great benefits, okay range of games to work on
Cons – Bad management, zero concept of scheduling, constant crunch, frequent layoffs, all eggs in one basket (sony)
Advice to Senior Management – Fire the owner as a manager, fire the VP, hire managers that actually have managerial training and experience. Stick to schedules...after learning to schedule.

Pros – Culture was great, friendly, open.
Cons – Company has folded and revived at least 3 times. No reliable back-up plan when it really mattered.
