I have been working at Iksula part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Good people to work with in the digital marketing team, but the HR and the senior management are clueless about their hiring targets and end up declining what is promised as an offer and often fail to turn up with offer letters after making people freelance for them for months,

    Cons

Company recruited students from my college at a pay package of 3 lpa (25,000 per month at entry level ) on joining as well as 2 years of bond for service and some time later upon joining informed the inducts that they will be only able to pay 18,000 and later 20,000p.m till three months of probation. This is a breach of faith or subsequently the offer changed because of the intentionsof iksula because the candidates should have been informed at least verbally at the time of recruitment that the 3lpa offer will not hold true in probation. The selected students were not allowed to sit for other companies during college placement as Iksula services had already finalised with them. This is a direct question of intensions of the company and i would request them to stop such malaise unethical practices.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please have a stronger hold on the HR department and be more transparent and affirmative with offers.

I have been working at Iksula full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Although Iksula as an organization is nascent, they have good projects; but they dont know how to handle them. Part of the work is outsourced as freelance work for which they seldom pay. Company lacks culture and values totally.

    Cons

If only the cons could be elucidated or even mentioned in the prescribed word limit.

Totally unprofessional and unethical, the company recruits from some campuses and fails to pay the promised salary. The HR deptt is very weak and the HR's fail to even deliver appointment letters on time.
Fresher's beware, the company promises you a guaranteed job at a certain pay package and asks you to freelance for them till they have you on board and then fail to even come up with the appointment letters and then cut out a sorry figure and ask you to work at a lower pay for them !!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Inculcate some values and a sense of commitment. Stand up to your promises and be transparent about your company hierarchy. Senior management should govern and overlook the role played by the HR, which is driving the company down the drain. Also be more transparent and true during your hiring sessions.

I worked at Iksula as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

The flowery words that will make you feel like you are stepping on the right platform, but then alas!

    Cons

They'll make you write 6 samples that if you sell at a worst price, will fetch you at least Rs $15-20 ( Rs 1000-1500). They will never disclose the compensation rates before you write their samples. If you ask they will refuse. They just want you to write the samples. After your samples are selected, they'll give you the rates that you 've never heard. I was given the rates Rs 60 for 500 words product description. So I rejected their offer but they used my samples.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Either your employees are covering the rates, or you need to be transparent with freelance writers.

I have been working at Iksula full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Nice and friendly people even at senior level
Small company of over 200 odd employees so more of an informal environment
    Good employees engagement activities.

    Cons

Some strict HR policies like timings etc. For eg. office timings are 10am-7pm, if you leave before 6pm, then it is half day
Often the work load is too high, people are known to work late into the night, sometimes till early morning the next day. May be due to lack of staff.
Salary is paid on 12th of the next month.
