I have been working at Illinois State part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Conviently located for working students, highest possible salary for student workers, amd enjoyable coworkers.

    Cons

Repetitive tasks, some micromanaging, and youre only provided one polo for you uniform even though its a lot of manual labor.

    Advice to Management

Obviously more polos. Also better use of when to work, unless someone is going over the 28 hours allow them to take it for others.

    Pros

Very flexible schedule, management is very accommodating to outside schedules, enjoyable atmosphere. Opportunities to get full time State positions sometimes.

    Cons

Politics of State run work environment can get in the way of things. Not for those who do not like to get dirty or sweaty, sometimes very grueling work.

I worked at Illinois State full-time

    Pros

ISU was a great place to work for many years.

    Cons

In 2012, a new group of executives came to power who completely shifted the culture of the organization. As a result, a major exodus of very talented people left the University. Ultimately, near all of these people new executives were "asked" to move on. But, the damage has been done.
