    Pros

    Benefits, new technologies, company is working on expanding and acquiring projects in various areas.

    Cons

    Not much structure for advancement in certain areas, not much support for training.

    I worked at Image API full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    Job was easy enough to catch on to.
    Pay was slightly above minimum wage.
    Most people were friendly enough.
    Quarterly bonus offered if overall production was high enough.

    Cons

    "Supervisor" only supervised if you made a mistake, which was easy enough since there was no official training. You are 'trained' by another employee who themselves received no training, so you're really just winging it on how they thought it should be done.
    Instead of being shown the correct way to do it in a professional manner, you were just yelled at in front of everyone that you were doing it wrong.
    The 'full time' position rarely brought in even 30 hours because work is based on volume.
    While the supervisor only occasionally showed up for work since she's salary, if you missed more than 4 days of work in an 8 month period you were let go due to 'absenteeism', even if your work was above par.
    There was blatant favoritism over employees, where long-term employees were allowed to take hours off during the day for personal matters, allowed to bring specifically restricted cell phones onto the work floor for texting, Facebook and instagramming, and being allowed to just sit there doing nothing for hours on end, basically just riding the clock instead of pitching in on other jobs to speed up work production.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep a better eye on your supervisors and make sure they're actually doing their job.
    Hire professionals instead of wanna-be thugs just because they've been there the longest.

    Pros

    Family atmosphere, competitive benefits, fair policies, busy and rewarding workload, continually growing. Promotes work/life balance.

    Cons

    Wages not bad but could be more competitive.

    Cons

    Employers hiring practices essentially involved revolving door techniques, with an in house HR representative while hiring mostly temp-to-hire employees through an on site temp representative. Because these temps were expected to not stay on, management addressed only basic job related concerns while ignoring behavior that could contribute to animosity towards others, especially those who had been hired on as permanent employees. Preferential treatment between employees/management and negative treatment were witnessed several times that led to suspect, professionally interruptive group mentality issues & rampant gossip towards other employees and management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Employers follows chain of command, however unless it's related to familial/medical issues, it is slow and in the process is set aside for other business reasons. When later regarded, employee who has issue tries to resolve the problem on their own, leading to redundancy where employee has distress between their employer.. No matter how little the issue is or employee's status within the company, employer needs to be fair and create a resolution that not only addresses short term quick fixes, but long term issues as well which will lead to minimal future issues.

    I have been working at Image API

    Pros

    The company demands excellent work and the production rate of most employees is very high. The access to senior management is very good. Image API tries to promote from within, and posts and interviews existing staff first. Bonus system is great and promotes team effort.

    Cons

    Some projects require fast turnaround and the company has the production staff work substantial overtime to meet delivery schedules. Sometimes that means working over holidays and weekends.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the communication between management and staff. Bring back the book club. I liked the skits during the summer parties and Christmas party.

    Pros

    Image API has 401K/401K profit sharing
    Image API provides free Dental Care up to an preapproved amount
    Quaterly Profitability Bonuses (Not Guaranteed)
    Respectful Supervisors/ Good Feedback about job performance

    Cons

    It was very, very rare for someone to receive a raise unless a position opened for them to move higher.
    Promotions were rare, because there was not much room to take on a higher position in the company.
    The company doesn't have the type of growth that allows a person to move up the ladder.
    Starting at entry level, it would be a very long time before a chance for promotion came along.
