Pros – Benefits seems as only current pro
Cons – plug people from different departments with no prior experience
will not let go of long term employees
excessive smoke breaks
some department heads should retire already
communication is lacking
leadership falls short
Advice to Senior Management – what's the point they run their business the way they want to
Pros – Strong support staff, but management limits their capabilities.
Cons – Confusion starts at the top.
Advice to Senior Management – Empower your people
Pros – I received a pay check and good benefits
Cons – Where to begin. Management was so disorganized not sure if they were aware they were running a Mortgage Company. Alot of really intelligent people were mislead by not so honest Management
Advice to Senior Management – First of after you get a clue. Stay in California
Pros – They offer good compensation and benefits.
Cons – They offer little training and do not promote from within. They do not support their branches, They don't understand team work or communication, they would rather fire people then be accountable for spending, and they have no understanding of customer service.
Advice to Senior Management – Admit your mistakes and be will to take advice from people who actually understand the Mortgage business.
Pros – Good benefits and a quality pay plan although 100% commission. Flexible schedule.
Cons – Corporate Management seems to have no direction and does not communicate well.
Advice to Senior Management – Adapt to the changing environment.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
Pros – Company pays pretty good salaries
Cons – Company has a big turnover rate
Advice to Senior Management – Figure out your projections and try to be more accurate so you don't have to have layoffs
Pros – Great health insurance, great marketing department
Cons – The rates are way out of the market, the overlays kill deals. There are lots of politics going on in upper management.
Advice to Senior Management – You have built a great company and your product is too hard to sell. I recommend that you back off on buying more Bugatti's (hint: the most expensive car in the world) and stop being so greedy with your own paychecks, and make your rates competitive and your product worth sticking around for... have heard you have a hard time keeping good talent.
Pros – Health benefits and location are ideal.
Cons – Everything and especially the management. Lack of experience and maturity. Management by fear. The AVP of Portfolio Management is probably the worst person I have ever worked with. Lots of lying and threats.
Advice to Senior Management – Hire someone that actually knows how to manage people. The AVP in Portfolio Management is a walking HR violation. Requiring OT but not allowing you to clock it. Constantly threatening your job.
Pros – Health benefits are good but it is a commission only environment.
Cons – Management is clueless when it comes to product knowledge and moral. Leads are horrible. I can't see them moving forward with what little they bring to the table.
Advice to Senior Management – Hire someone with actual management experience with people skills and mortgage product knowledge.
Pros – Good people, diversifying, strong corporate culture, good benefits
Cons – Some politics in certain departments
Advice to Senior Management – Keep communication open, exercise transparency and be proactive
