Pros
they give you alot of leeway to learn, hours are good, and the majority of staff is nice.
Cons
the pay sucks, the supervisor only has an high school degree but she bosses people around like she went to college, I only say this because i finished college i i really hate how disrespect people.
Advice to Senior Management
Please don't bring your personal life to work, it really pisses everyone else off, and make it harder to concert on the work at hand.
Pros
There is always something new to do, If you like a routine its not the place for you.
Cons
Standing for a long period of time 6-8 hours standing.
Advice to Senior Management
Be Your self and not who others want you to be.
Pros
Free parking across the city
Cons
low salary, no room for growth
Advice to Senior Management
Take management lessons
Pros
Some very friendly co-workers, although morale is very bad
Cons
Old systems in part, phone headsets out of working order a lot..a lot of pressure as well to produce, produce, produce...make numbers..one or two of the supervisors need to take a hard look at themselves in the mirror....wow, such arrogance.....morale is often very low, and is contagious.....office environment is far too "PC" as well, people need to be able to just relax and be human beings as well, as support colleagues
Pros
Flexible when creating shift schedules.
Cons
No respect from contract managers towards company.
Pros
It's a great 9-5 job in an accessible section of the city. There are plenty of opportunities for lateral movement if you succeed in your job.
Cons
Main office is small and doesn't offer a lot of lateral movement on site. The quickest way to a promotion is to move to another site, which could be inconvenient. You have to pay 20 percent of your benefit premiums.
Advice to Senior Management
You would have access to more talent that you would want to keep if the salary was more competitive. It doesn't take much to find a job with similar duties that pays more. Your talent constantly moves on to greener pastures while you get stuck with those who aren't wanted anywhere else.
Pros
Get to meet some interesting people and drive some fancy cars.
Cons
Lots of micro management with inexperienced managers. This is a company who promotes based on tenure so most managers lack the theory part of management. There is a lack of safety measures in the work place for employees such as having to run under slippery conditions, working with high auto emissions in an indoor parking area and standing outside in hot and cold weather. Some managers are easy going and fun to work with, others you would not want to be on their bad side. I found hardly any support from management and if you're still under probation your union rep won't help you if you're wrongly dismissed.
Advice to Senior Management
Don' t let outside sources manage your employees and have senior management oversee new projects from beginning to end to ensure your employees on that site are fully trained and are being treated fairly.
Pros
Your outside in the sun. You meet a lot of people. Managers are really cool about your schedule, they work around your life, if you need off they'll probably let you get off that day(s). If your a good worker you can get a lot of hours.
Cons
Your outside in the sun too much. Rarely any breaks at some locations (ie. WI State Fair). Bad pay. Really cold in the winters and sometimes you wont be able to get inside for a while. Really hot in the summers and sometimes you wont be able to get some water or shade for a while. Kept me longer than the law says they can (school week and under 18)
Advice to Senior Management
Breaks.
