    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the smiles even to the associates, lead by example and keep selling smiling burgers.

  2. Working for INO was a fun opportunity. The company itself is pretty great, but management could be better.

    Pros

The people. Everyone is very nice and wants to have a good time while working

    Cons

If you don't have a good store manager, everything could suck. Didn't work around schedules the greatest. Demanded min priority

    Pros

Up beat work environment. Always meeting new people. Time goes by when your busy. Chance to progress and make allot of money.

    Cons

Always changing shifts and sometimes short staffed. Getting off work and smelling like a grill and burger. Always having to shave.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Nothing really to add here.

I have been working at In-N-Out Burger part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Pay is great and so are hours if you want them.

    Cons

Work/Life balance is out of wack. Expected to be available at all times. Can be seriously understaffed at times. Expected to be able to handle multiple jobs at once.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Understand that employees are people and not robots. Understand their needs and they will work harder for you.

I have been working at In-N-Out Burger part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Most managers can be flexible and are understanding of schedules. This was a great job to have while going to school. My fiancé is a manager and it's also a great full time job and career to pursue. There is definitely good money involved. You work hard, it's fast paced, there's training constantly, great employee benefits, pay in general is pretty good, it can be a fun environment, vacation hours are good, the mini parties and activities that the company offers are great.
Overall, a great company to work for and the policies they have are in a place. It is really a lifestyle choice to work there because the policies are so strict.

    Cons

You work your butt off and sometimes the association that your around (the younger kids) don't really understand everything. It is extremely hard on the body.
Although the pay is good, if you are working there long term and say you don't want to go into management, your pretty much at a freeze in pay with no where to go. Example, I've been there 5 years, but if someone who's been there 2 years gets to the same level as me, they'll be making the exact same. It's like a union.
There can be a lot of policies to follow, which I find to actually be a pro for the most part.
Some managers are very power hungry and they know that some employees depend on their income and they take advantage of that. The frustrating part is when they are very "clever" about it and they get the company to support them in their motives.
Customers at time can rule your life. You can do everything right, but a customer that has one bad view can kill a career. Love the customers, they're why In-N-Out thrives, but some of them are very... not understanding.

I have been working at In-N-Out Burger part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The pay is great for a fast food restaurant.
The people who work for In-N-Out are awesome, I love my coworkers.
The training is done well and you're able to move up quickly if you work hard.

    Cons

Often they will under staff and the workload can be super stressful.
If you work there full time, you'll often work over 40 hours and have shifts that are late at night.

I worked at In-N-Out Burger part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The company culture is extremely positive and goal oriented. INO constantly helps their employees grow into hard working individuals in any market.

    Cons

This is a lot of physical labor. The stress and physical fatigue can definitely get to you. Also, it is extremely tempting to eat the food daily which can be unhealthy over time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue doing the same process. Possibly raise team member mingling and friendship. Many members work without actually knowing their other members.

    Cons
