    Pros

There is no political interference, there are no religious boundaries everyone is equal. It represents true India,

    Cons

Bureaucrats have a hold over the Army and some for their personnel importance try to interfere with the functioning of Army. Army is remembered only during time of crisis and that to for a little time only. Some Seniors are to harsh on their juniors.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please be just to your juniors and motivate & encourage them to bring out their Best.

Former Employee - DGR Sponsered Security Services in Jaipur, Rajasthan (India)

I worked at Indian Army as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

by far the fairest working environment given the professional hazards.the constraints of service conditions prepare you for life's many challenges.

    Cons

liberties and freedom available to civ counterparts is absent, the financial compensation for unquantified loss due to frequent dislocations to family and children takes a heavy toll on an army offrs' life.some times leading to unfortunate situations in life viz divorces, perpetual worry to keep family happy and satisfied.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

the honour and sheen of the army needs to be restored.at no point of time the civ services lobby should be allowed to have better perks and priveleges because never do they put their life on line of duty.leave aside doing their dutis honestly.

I have been working at Indian Army full-time

    Pros

The best hands-on leadership and management training anybody could ever aspire for. You are trained at the esteemed leadership cradles and then literally 'thrown' into the leadership role. This organisation busts the myth that 'Leaders are born'.

    Cons

Archaic and rigid. Sycophantic attitude among the senior lot.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more open to new ideas.
Encourage junior leadership by giving more leeway in decision making.
Care for the organisation and its ethos, not your promotions.
