I have been working at Indian Oil full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

The only good thing about the company is that it's a government organization with attendant job security

    Cons

Let me start with the recruitment process itself. It took them MORE THAN ONE YEAR TO RELEASE RESULTS. Final results came out after 6 months of interviews. I don't know how they run their HR department and recruitment cell. No good candidate would wait for a year to join a company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sincere advice to revamp the HR department and SIGNIFICANTLY cut down on the recruitment time frame.

    Pros

Ample free time. May pursue any hobby. Descent salary and loads of benefits. Unlimited medical reimbursement. Friendly environment.

    Cons

Unbelievably boring work. Bad work culture. Very unstructured work and no growth. In fact people staying there have degraded themselves. Seniors almost have no knowledge in their domain.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do not recruit top gate rankers for the work you are giving them.
