I have been working at Indian Overseas Bank full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The organization has a good culture and the nature of back biting or anything like that is not among the employees. The staff members are very helpful to each other and try to help out in the best way they can to their fellow staff members. Promotion policy is good.

    Cons

Some cons could include: A bit overage employees are predominant in the organization with most of them having good experience to share with but a good number of those are just lazy and dont know any work. They pour all the work on the juniors and this sometimes becomes very hectic and irritating. Regarding Salary and allowances the bank has almost the lowest allowances as compared to other banks and in probation period the allowances are even much lesser and the work is more. moreover new officers have to sign a bond on 1 lac for 3 years service that is unfair in my opinion. Transfer policy is also bad as suggested by my seniors.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please be a little gentle to employees. Too much pressure and work diversion is not good. Please try to increase some allowances of officers atleast so that they dont think about leaving this organization.
