Former Employee – worked at Indian Statistical Institute as an intern for less than a year
Pros – - You will get to learn about current research topics.
- Not much work load
- You will get a chance to write a research paper
Cons – - Professors hardly meets you. They will make you work under their research associates (Ph.D candidates).
- Ph.D's will try to exploit you by giving their personal job and by NOT giving credit for your paper.
Advice to Senior Management – Please give some time to your Ph.Ds (check if their behavior with interns) and also to the interns.

Current Employee – been working at Indian Statistical Institute as a contractor for more than 3 years
Pros – good education, knowledge and research culture is a plus point of the institute.
Cons – the management treat the contractual employers as "use and throw" items. they dont have the respect to treat them as a part of their team.
Advice to Senior Management – please do something for us so that we can feel more securer and create an alternate pathway to regularise the contractuals.
