    Soul-crushing

    (Former Employee) Scottsdale, AZ

ProsEasy-going atmosphere, but that's about it. There is a pretty nice break room and conference areas, and the office equipment wasn't too old. People usually don't stay late, and if you have a job where you need to work after-hours, the office gives you a laptop. Flexible schedules depending on position.

ConsUnfriendly co-workers, no office events/parties, and very little communication from management to employees. Half the office was laid off without much warning, and the rest of the company is going downhill as it "streamlines" its operations.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Conseiller en sécurité financière

Financial Security Advisor/Conseiller En Sécurité Financière (Current Employee) Montreal, QC (Canada)

    ProsFlexible Schedule
Commissions are paid upfront (prior to insurance approval)

ConsIt is very hard to understand your pay, and a lot of important information are hidden from you.
This job is definitly not made for you if your are not a fighter. Even if you are, it is still quite something.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

    horrible management

    (Former Employee) Vancouver, BC (Canada)

ProsGood if you are in actuarial science.

Cons-Manager and department heads treat you like another cost company has to spend to get the work that needs to be done.
-High volume of work but no training provided.
-Too much office politics. Incompetent people are promoted if they had managed to stay for a long time and then act like they can rule over new employees.
    - Political performance reviews that favors upper managements.
    - Odor of favouritism is everywhere..
    - no opportunity for promotion
    - too many people working in a factory like setting.

Advice to Senior Managementneeds more competition among upper managements.

No team work, high output, little care about staff or progression, NO FUN OR ENJOYMENT

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Vancouver, BC (Canada)

    ProsSome training
    Company reputation is decent
    Work place facilities

ConsSeems to be a high output no care for staff enviroment
    No team work
Staff can under perform, be back from late breaks constantly, bicker and nothing will be done

Advice to Senior ManagementStart caring about your staff! Organise fun events so its not just a 8:30 - 5 enviroment. Pull into line those that need it as it drags everybody else down. Career plan

It takes a lot of commitment

Financial Security Advisor (Current Employee) Montreal, QC (Canada)

    Proscommissions are paid in advance

ConsNo base salaries meaning that if you do not make sales you have no pay check next week.

The IA is a really good company. Take care of your teams.Everybody want's succes and willing for achievments

Director of Something. (Current Employee) Montreal, QC (Canada)

Prosvariable worktime, autonomy, company credibility and good remunation and bonuses for every job related to sales.

ConsLack of recognition for the work done, that is not directly related to sales! When Head Office come down, they do not respect our engagement, and there almost never on time( big waist of time for the company, and implied) . No financial support for deplacement for office worker.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe on time when you schedule something. Do what you said you were going to do(respect), stop selling dreams that are not feasable! Explain everything, no gimmick or non-say. Recognize the work, and over work done, in every field. Pay the wright price for a performing employee. Don't make it so hard to be listened, and take a little time to look at things differently sometimes . Think a little more humanly. Recognize the relation between the company growth, and the people who made it happen. Put a little love , sincere love in your daily task, and...smile ! Life is good, so,...smile!
