Advice to Senior Management
N/A - No longer in business
Pros
Good compensation and benefits, not too much micro management
Cons

Advice to Senior Management
Well considering that it's now One West Bank and they laid off just about everyone when the FDIC took over I don't really have suggestions.
Pros
Cool office space, walking distance to Old Town Pasadena, they did not block me from surfing the web, easy hours.
Cons
Incompetent, uneducated management. I mean, look at what happened to them, need I saw more? The pay was awful, there was zero incentive to go that extra step.
Advice to Senior Management
Well, since you already got taken over, it's too late for any meaningful advice. Maybe the One West team will do a better job.
Pros
The management team was very knowledgeable.
Cons
Monetary compensation was one of the lowest in the industry.
Advice to Senior Management
Provide better compensation
Pros
independence, money, insurance, schedule, flexibility
Cons
it shut down, closed the doors
Advice to Senior Management
manage - dont ignore employees
Pros
Management was friendly and approachable and really did want to make a good place to work for employees. Benefits were also very good. They support internal advancement, so if you work well with others, put up the numbers they're looking for, and there are open positions, you can probably get ahead.
Cons
Typical in a larger company: co-worker gossip and drama, the hierarchy of having ten bosses above you, micromanagement, numbers suffering because your co-workers are lazy, no one ever gets fired, everything is based on statistics/quantity and not quality.
Advice to Senior Management
Be more realistic with your employees about what's happening. You may be concerned about morale, which is important, but it's also important to be truthful and up-front with employees about future opportunities and how the company is REALLY doing.
