Advice to Senior Management
After many years of struggle, the leadership team over the past 2-3 years seems has done a lot to improve the organization and the direction towards continuous growth and profitability
Pros
1) Very good professional/personal life balancing
2) Max flexibility for home office, working time
3) extremely good office location (Campeon)
4) Perfect place where to spent some year of your career without eccessive stress
Cons
1) HR department not present at all
2) long and fake performance evaluation process
3) Benefits and rewards completely not aligned to personal performance
4) Very very bad low-Middle level managment
5) your future mainly in the hands of 1 person with no double check
6) 80% of person in Munich are mainly doing paper jobs.... only a few dealing with technical matters
7) If you stay motre than 5 years, either you stay for ever or change field.... You will have no attidute at all to real life job requirements.
Advice to Senior Management
1) Ask yourself if HR department should be only contract makers
2) Listen to people making technical job
3) reduce the ammount of useless paper job
4) Think about why your meeting rooms are always full. Is that really needed?
5) Pose yourself the question: Why every design team has "permanently" so many externals? Are we undersized or our designers prefer to manae somebody rather than doing real technical job?
Pros
Good pay
Good place to work
work-life balance
Cons
Lot of politics.
Junk work -- most of the good work is done in germany.
Advice to Senior Management
Please care about the employee who is giving lot of effort to work.
Pros
be given many oppotunities and chances
Cons
somewhat low salary and bad attitude of technical leader
Advice to Senior Management
need to talk with engineers so much
need to share the vision much more with engineers
Pros
Stable and secure job. One can become a domain expert with in few years.
Cons
very limited and narrow domain. If one works here for say 10 yrs.. you have to work for life. there're no real alternatives.. and one cannot survive anywhere else.
Advice to Senior Management
Very good decisions at the top level in the past one year. Continue with the same momentum
Pros
Good (and a lot of) technical work of good quality,as cmompared to similar companies in Singapore in the same industry.
Cons
Bad management, Poor salary compared to industry, Slow response in decision making, No room to grow. "we-do-not-care" and top-to-bottom style of management.
Advice to Senior Management
If there were enough opportunities in the same field in Singapore, Infineon would be hard pressed to find employees with current standards of management and salaries.
Pros
Large company, reasonable benefit package, large set of product in the market, opportunity to find out about rest of the world!
Cons
In my case, my direct manager was a very competent and good guy but the higher management were totally opposite.
Pros
High tech systems and improving production flow every month.
Cons
Sometimes the managers are over loaded on projects.
Pros
Good technology, good market in Germany, engineers given a lot of respect, reasonable salary, very nice facility, marketing team was good
Cons
It was the year of a bad economy, a lot of cutbacks and departments closures. The location was a small part of the company and hence not considered very important
Advice to Senior Management
Expand this location since space is available (lot of empty cubicles), focus increasing revenues, margins will be made up during a good economy
Pros
Good technology nodes, precision engineering from Germans and good innovation.
Cons
No recognition, few people clog the system, people respond only to a situation no proactiveness.
Advice to Senior Management
Management need to have control on sub-ordinates.
