    Pros

    No respect. They behave contractors like baggers.

    not a good place to work with. management is not at all good.

    Learn from Philips.

    I have been working at Infineon Technologies full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Flexible working hours is the ONLY plus point. This applies ONLY if your in indirect department. Indirect will enjoy all this.

    Cons

    Too many racist managers. Too much politicking Promotion based on race. Too many hands in completing task given. Process engineers are paid less but required to run the company. Please do not join as process engineer.

    Advice to Management

    Please step in asap before you lose ll the good employees.

    Pros

    You earn a lot of money and don't have to work at all. So if you prefer to read newspaper all day, apply!

    Cons

    If you really want to work and not getting dumber every day, this is the wrong company for you. They mostly hire people (with experience) and need to explain them one hour every day how to check emails. They have a few people who are smart and they do all the work. No equality at all, women get paid less and have less freedom.

    Advice to Management

    Leave, make space for younger, qualified people, and don't hire very dumb person you can find.

    Pros

    May be you get more money if you negotiate it well. Out door activities like team outings.

    Cons

    repetitive and monotonous work for the contract & external employee. Externals are hired for testing work. Externals don't get opportunity to learn because exposure and information are hidden from them. Most internal employees have no respect for the externals as human. Lot of blame game. They hire very highly experienced senior people as externals, and then give them work worth a 2 year experienced guy. That will ruin your career. The management and HR differentiates between the externals and internals in public.. I think thats the root cause of this culture.

    Advice to Management

    Dont hire external people who has more then 4 years experience. Whats the point of ruining their career.. One drop of kerosene in one bucket of milk will ruin the whole bucket.

    - exciting technologies - Infineon is the technology leader in a couple of market segments which could be the basis for a sustainable profitable company - and will probably evolve as a good company to work for once it's current trouble blow over

    – die organisatorische Struktur des Unternehmens sorgt ständig für Frustration – das Infineon-Management stolpert ständig über seine eigenen Lügen – Infineon hat eine furchtbare Corporate Governance (der Aufsichtsrat wird von SIEMENS kontrolliert, ein Unternehmen, das offensichtlich keine klare Vorstellung davon hat, wie man ein profitables Unternehmen aufbaut) – Infineon wird leider in einer Art gemanagt, dass man dazu neigt, die Realität zu ignorieren und dann ganz überrascht ist, wenn man sich plötzlich mit ihr konfrontiert wird. – der beste Geschäftsführer, den IFX je hatte, wurde vor kurzem gefeuert (W.     - the organizational setup of the company is an unlimited source of frustration - IFX managament is constantly a victim to it's own lies - Infineon has terrible corporate governance (it's supervisory board is controlled by SIEMENS which obviously does not have a clear idea how to setup a profitable compay - Infineon's way of management tends to ignore reality and is mostly surprised when they ultimately have to face it - the best CEO IFX ever had was recently ousted (W.Ziebart) - working for IFX is like banging your head against the wall 24/7 - Infineon's technical ladder system is completely degraded and absolutely demotivating (in reality it creates 2nd class employees, which can be pushed around by whomever is not part of the technical ladder). There is no system in place which makes sure that grades on the technical ladder are awarded based on merits. It is rather driven by politics and proximity to the headquarter

    – sich endlich der Realität stellen – mit einem Unternehmen fusionieren, das weiß, wie man ein Unternehmen in dieser Branche führt (Infineon ist ein hoffnungsloser Fall) – das Unternehmen sollte damit aufhören, sich immer nur auf dem Papier neu zu organisieren (üblicherweise hat die Organisationsstruktur nichts mit der Realität zu tun)

    - face reality for once - merge with a company which knows how to run a company in that field, Infineon is a lost case - stop reorganizing the company on the paper only (usually the organization chart is not worth the paper it is printed on)

    Scheint einige funktionierende Arbeitsprozesse und wenig Arbeitsdruck zu haben, aber Human Ressources Abteilung existiert praktisch nicht, wie schon andere hier geschrieben haben.

    Does seem to have some processes and low work pressure, although the HR is non-existent as noted in the other reviews.

    Nicht existierende Human Ressources - Abteilung, wie schon von anderen hier geschrieben. Ich wurde für das Corporate Strategy Team eingestellt, nach einem Interview mit nur einer Person (Anreise aus einem anderen Land musste ich selbst bezahlen). Nur 2 Monate später hat man mir gesagt, dass ich auf diese Senioritätsebene nicht passe und dass ich mir bis zum Ende der Probezeit eine andere Position suchen soll. Human Ressources hat dabei nur zugeschaut, und war nicht bereit, sich zu bemühen, dass ich einige Kosten für den Umzug meiner Familie zurückerstattet bekomme. Am Ende hat mich mein vorheriger Arbeitgeber gerettet. Ich rate aber jedem, es sich gut zu überlegen hier anzufangen; besonders allen Leuten aus anderen Ländern.

    Non existent HR, as noted in the other reviews. I was hired in the corporate strategy team in a haphazard way, just one face to face interview paid for at my own expense and brought into Munich from another country. Just 2 months later I was told I do not fit into the level of seniority and asked to find another job till the end of the probationary period. HR just a passive bystander and not even prepared to help me get some compensation for having shifted family into a new country or any expenses for shifting back. In the end my previous employer rescued me, but I would caution anyone thinking of joining, especially from another country.

    Scheint den Vorgesetzten zu erlauben, ihre Meinung über Leute sofort dann zu ändern, wenn sie eingestellt sind. Man stellte mich für eine wichtige Unternehmensposition ein, das Bewerbungsgespräch verlief überstürzt und man sagte mir, ich müsse auf eigene Kosten anreisen. Nach nur zwei Monaten in der Firma sagte man mir, ich müsse mir neue Position innerhalb des Unternehmens suchen oder in sechs Monaten gehen. Keinerlei Ausgleich dafür, dass ich in ein anderes Land gewechselt war, um das Angebot anzunehmen. Die Personalabteilung hat sich während des Ganzen total im Hintergrund gehalten und scheint über keinerlei Einfluss zu verfügen. Wie ich erfuhr, wurde während erwarteter Personalknappheit schnell eine Einstellungsentscheidung getroffen, aber als keine Personalknappheit eintrat, wollte die Geschäftsleitung einen anderen, vom Background passenderen Kandidaten einsetzen.

    Seems to allow managers to change mind on people immediately on having someone join. I was hired in the central corporate function and the interview was hasty, I was told to come on my own expense. Just 2 months on joining I was told to find another position within the company or leave in 6 months. No compensation for having shifted countries to take up the offer. The HR was totally absent in the whole procedure and seems to have no power at all. As I learnt, a hasty hiring decision was made expecting a hiring freeze, but then later when there there turned out to be no hiring freeze, the manager wanted to bring in a more suitable candidate by background.
