    Pros

Pay is usually good, but a temporary thing.

    Cons

Growth, Potential is low. Investment grade as viewed by the institiions is very low.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on your core technologies and learn to innovate and grow organically. Past acquisitions were failures, cash position in 2011/2012 was a result of selling the wireless division to Intel.

    I worked at Infineon Technologies

    Pros

Large company, reasonable benefit package, large set of product in the market, opportunity to find out about rest of the world!

    Cons

In my case, my direct manager was a very competent and good guy but the higher management were totally opposite.

    I worked at Infineon Technologies

    Pros

Good technology, good market in Germany, engineers given a lot of respect, reasonable salary, very nice facility, marketing team was good

    Cons

It was the year of a bad economy, a lot of cutbacks and departments closures. The location was a small part of the company and hence not considered very important

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Expand this location since space is available (lot of empty cubicles), focus increasing revenues, margins will be made up during a good economy

I have been working at Infineon Technologies

    Pros

Good benefit package, still matches 401K plan, descent salaries, stable environment. Company still has Siemens mentality, management cares about people. Global management was able to perform restructuring during global crisis.

    Cons

people handle multiple projects, although management cares about people there are many too complicated rules and regulations reducing motivation. System of incentives does not influence motivation of every particular person. A person can not drastically influence his own pay, it does not depend on his skills and hard work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Senior management is doing a good job in handling a tough financial situation, and cost savings. Management should improve communication within local teams. Do not go too far with cost savings, it can influence the quality of products and services.

I have been working at Infineon Technologies

    Pros

Still a good place to work, respectful management, not bad navigation through tough economy. Knowledgeable staff, good chance to educate yourself working with industry leading experts. Company is an industry leader in some application areas. Restructuring helped company to remain an industry leader, stay on the cutting edge of technology.
Still good benefits in tough economy times. Flexible time off,

    Cons

After cutting costs people got assigned to multiple projects, too much paperwork, sometimes that paperwork takes more time and looks more important than actual work. People getting nervous, some are leaving the company (usually the best experts). Chances to get training reduced with budget cuts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reduce the number of middle level managers, amount of paperwork and reporting, regular internal meetings and conference calls. Be pragmatic!

I have been working at Infineon Technologies

    Pros

Lot's of policies and procedures to get things done, none of which are really documented anywhere. You really have to know who to talk to to get things done

    Cons

Probably none if you are in Munich. In a satellite development site, it's very difficult to understand what's going on.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Lose about half the management and kill the matrix management approach
