Pros
The job security is very good and the people and environment are generally very positive.
Cons
The is next to no career development, expertise is not valued and there is no real progression chances without public school education.
There is performance related pay, so each month you are paid a significant percentage less than what your wage should be then it is paid 4 months after that year. This means you forfeit it if you leave.
Even within groups there are massive differences in development. Managers are technically deficient and tend to force their support downwards rather than striving upwards.
Advice to Senior Management
The management style is not dissimilar to Exxon-Mobile in that change happens very slowly but totally irreversibly.
Managers that look after their staff are seen as weak and tend not to progress.
Pros
Great mentorship and opportunities for young employees. Flexible schedule allowed for excellent work-life balance. Developed my leadership abilities. Fun and challenging from the beginning.
Cons
Tough industry with tight profit margins makes work a little stressful at times and does not allow for opportunity for big salary growth.
Advice to Senior Management
Continue offering great opportunities and mentorship of young employees. The opportunity to be involved in big projects early on is one of the biggest advantages to working at Infineum.
