    Pros

Great salary, benefits and most importantly coworkers

    Cons

Senior Management was clueless and the reason company went under

    Advice to Management

    Too late

I worked at Infinium Capital Management

    Pros

Lot of challenging tasks to work on. Was a good working environment and had moderate level of success. People seemed to really care for one another.

    Cons

Lot of changes happened all at once and the management and c-suite turmoil made it difficult to work through them all effectively. Made it so no one was really ever clear who was steering the ship. For a technology-focused organization, there was a lot of leadership void in the technology space.

    Pros

Was a good place to start career. I was motivated to work hard/learn and grow my skill set throughout my time at Infinium. I do think that many leaders genuinely cared about employees.

    Cons

High-level management lacked experience/maturity. While the HF tide was rising the mentality was focused on pretending to be a larger company, this led to excessive expenses and poor hires.

    Pros

They have since renamed themselves V3 markets. Same vomit different bucket.

    Cons

Pathological and sociopath liars. They celebrated after a mass-layoff right after Christmas - apparently layoffs are a cause to celebrate because it ensures fat bonuses for those doing the layoffs.

  8. Was once a great company

I worked at Infinium Capital Management

    Pros

Merit based prop shop with experienced senior traders. Solid junior trader development programs. Technology was proprietary and on par with most others.

    Cons

Management didn't know the proper direction to take the company. Too many upper level managers who didn't trade or even know where revenue came from.

This place was great and would have continued to be awesome if it wasn't for issues from one of the founding partners

    Pros

This place really cared about its employees. It was probably the most transparent trading firm in the city. They had semi-annual firm update meetings. Many of the employees were owners and the group leaders knew the firm financials in detail. The firm had outstanding benefits and I knew of several instances were senior management and partners gave extra bonuses out of their own shares to take care of people.

    Cons

There was a non-active partner in the business who was constantly causing distractions and took the firm's leadership focus off of making money to attempt to resolve the issue. They ultimately paid too much money to buy him out and harmed the firms capital structure in the process. The firm tried to take on too many initiatives at the same time, often being mediocre in all of them. The technology team was not organized enough and wasted money on projects where they didn't have a clear edge. The technology team needed to be managed better.

    Advice to Management

Pick a better partner. Be more focused. Get better technology talent

    - Easy to climb the ranks if you work hard
    - At the end of the day a good group of people

    - Very disorganized; lack of structure and consistency across the board
    - Prior management took advantage of a lot of people; created a mess
    - Current employees are paying the price
