I worked at InfoPro Learning full-time for more than a year

ProsThis is a small company with not much talent or ambition so if you're looking to be a big fish in a small pond, you're in the right place. No one is really in charge here and the buck stops no where so you can get away with most things.

ConsThis is a little hole in the wall with no ambition, so don't expect to go places with them. If you're good, it will take you about a year to achieve everything you can achieve here, so have the next step planned. It is fairly frustrating to be surrounded by people who are dull and plodding along. It is even more frustrating when the smart people spend more of their time plotting and scheming instead of trying to achieve bigger and better goals. Despite being a small company, InfoPro is strangely bureaucratic. I think its because they're all competing for a piece of the same little pie.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop being defensive about everything. Management isn't just about crises management and risk mitigation, it's also about having a vision and leading people to achieve something greater than they could have on their own. Have a little confidence in your own capabilities and stop being terrified that someone will dethrone you. Your time would be better spent leading from the front rather than cowering in the corner covering your ass.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
