I worked at Infogain full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Workmates and colleagues are the bright spot here. Colleagues tend to support each other quite a bit, sharing info and learning while on projects.

    Cons

CEO and leadership culture leans toward uninspired guidance and industry leadership. "Body shop" culture is the norm with low cost staffers shipped in from overseas so as to be able to bid as low cost provider on local (u.s.) based client projects.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get out of the office, network with local industry leaders become a voice for thought leadership in the business community. Mingle with the rank-and-file... get to know the troops.

Fake promises, quick visa transfers bad HR . Never find one real Pro.

    Cons

Work life balance, No good clients (Apple, NetApp & Biorad few scavenging accounts). Very bad management. recruiters with all fake promises.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop cheating real people with fake promises. Stop bringing people on H1B from other companies and kicking them out with in few weeks. If you do not have project, just shut up. you do not have rights to play with fellow Indias life.

I worked at Infogain as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

Accounts with big companies, longer contracts

    Cons

    Very poor management skills
Employees are hired with big words, but no support is given
Employees are spoken to very harshly
They are assigned to projects without checking skill levels
Company hired employees with fake resumes and encourages them since they are cheaper
Work offshore is poor quality, but that is promoted since it is cheaper
Onsite employees are treated poorly, nobody checks in on them or gives a chance for employees to express their concerns
Very biased with some employees and lets these favored employees abuse the team.
Harassment is taken very lightly and no action is taken when someone is accused.

I have been working at Infogain full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Few management people are very nice and employee friendly.
    - Good colleagues and many of them are always helpful.

    Cons

    - Poor Management and planning.
    - Losing many clients due to delivery defects.
    - No Career / Project visibility.
    - Frequent Travel
    - Concentrated on POS based solutions
    - Pushing everything to offshore and making the onsite team weak,

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    1. Give equal chance to each employee. And provide career visibility to employees.
    2. Needs a lot of improvement in client engagement and properly managing client projects including planning, resource allocation etc.
    3. Working sessions / training to onsite employees to increase their technical capability in retail.
    4. Purely depend on ORPOS related solution and needs to move to other POS based solution and also concentrate on emerging technologies like ecommerce suites (ATG, Hypris, Endeca) etc and other inventory / merchandising suites also.

I have been working at Infogain full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Relaxed environment, 'take it easy' environment. If you are in a long-term clients then not many uncertainties about re-locations or frantically hunting for new projects

    Cons

No vision or concrete growth plans, changed directions every few quarters, revolving door policy for senior management, VPs and even sales people...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Should focus on couple of areas and not be jack-of-all. Establish a vision so people can stick around
