Pros
Headed in the right direction, but moving very slowly
Some co-workers are very good workers and people
If your willing to look the other way and do as your told you may make it.
Cons
Inconsistent annual performance reviews
Lack of fairness
Management incompetence (all levels)
No 401K match
No common vision shared by all business units
VP's make pay decisions irregardless whether you've earned it or not
Advice to Senior Management
Company wide performance reviews with goals and objectives linked to the Corporate Strategy.
360 feedback reviews by at least five people.
DO NOT PROMOTE JUST TO PROMOTE. SOME PEOPLE IN MANAGEMENT DON'T DESERVE TO BE THERE!!!!
SCRUTINIZE ALL OF YOUR MANAGER'S, ESPECIALLY THE VP'S.
Pros
Great people!
Okay benefits
Flexible schedule
Cons
Low pay
Performance reviews are non-existent.
No room for advancement
Incompetent managers
Advice to Senior Management
Invest in your employees as we are just as important as the customers.
Pros
Vacation is pretty generous but other than that nothing else.
Cons
No 401k match, lack of communication, random layoffs,
Advice to Senior Management
Why did you get rid of jeans on Friday? Demotivator
Pros
Great coworkers. Predictable work days. Reasonable work hours. Pretty good benefits. Usually on the latest software (but not hardware; see Cons).
Cons
Meaningless (or sometimes no) performance reviews. No opportunities for advancement. Driven by quarterly results to a fault. Low investment in personnel (training) or infrastructure (computer hardware).
Advice to Senior Management
Invest more in infrastructure (computers, networks). We have lots of computers used for critical applications that are over a decade old. This would be the absolute easiest and cheapest way to improve productivity.
Pros
Great Pay. Great experience to put on your resume. Also, perfect place to know what corporate America is really about.
Cons
Do not wear out your welcome. If your not a VP or higher do not expect to go far in this company. It was not always like that.Too many changes ( that could be a pro or con for some)
Advice to Senior Management
Get some people skills. Communication is key. .
Pros
nice work environment, being able to work from a home office and good training on the job and international travelling
Cons
fast moving company, lots of changes, every year a new manager, good learning environment, international focus and lots of counterparts
Pros
work culture, senior management is very good, can learn new technologies.
pretty fun place to work.
Cons
salary is bit less compared to industry standard.
knowledge levels of new employees is less
Advice to Senior Management
make sure to have stronger technical team when recruiting.
Pros
You can make your future it is a large dynamic company. There is a feeling of job safety, loyalty, and caring for personal life needs.
Cons
You work hard and pave the road for your future to find no more respect or pay and find there are disolving benefits and extra hours. I am sick of seeing too many employees focus on covering their butts than to do the right or best thing for the company and take a calculated risk - stale, repetitive, timid. Employees have no voice, absolutely the only place I have worked where I feel like a drone and comically shamed and controlled by peers.
Advice to Senior Management
Infor claims great revenue but the true great resource is not your apps, maintenance, and service but your employees. Take care of your resources Infor. Manage you managers no more 'yes' men and women learn your position and stand up for your management ideal. Company train people you advance do not throw titles at people with no backing but to hope they will work harder for no incentive.
Pros
Good compensation and the ability to work remotely are definately a plus. Also, good people here for the most part.
Cons
Poor leadership, lack of marketing support and old products. Venture Capital owned and all revenues go into buying the next company/product instead of being reinvested in the products they already own.
Advice to Senior Management
Invest in the products in the portfolio. Otherwise shortly after the acquisition the competition has and will catch up and surpass Infor products.
Pros
Large company with vision of being leader in the industry
Cons
Too many acquisitions making it hard to have a unified product strategy
Advice to Senior Management
Constant change is a challenge
