    Pros

Good pay, global teams to interact with, smart people from various acquires companies, creative solutions to integrate various apps.

    Cons

Priorities shift all the time with changes in leadership. Teams are focussed on fixing bugs to keep license revenue coming in. Not enough support from teams for new initiatives.

I worked at Infor full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I had the opportunity to work with some great people and the office was conveniently located.

    Cons

The work-life balance wasn't the greatest, I worked every weekend for months as required by management yet without reward or recognition. I was given great reviews for several years and promised a decent raise repeatedly yet never received one. I also found promotion within to be difficult, if not impossible.

I have been working at Infor full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Very efficient in acquiring companies and has a solid, if evolving product and corporate vision.

    Cons

Need to understand the politics and it matters what area you are in. Although the are endless webex sessions the communications are limited and very top down. Messages are mixed regarding employees. Supposedly employes are very important bit compensation and beniifits don't reflect it.

I have been working at Infor as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

Flexible working hours and the ability to work remotely.
    Lots of intellectual challenges.
Frequent product/company acquisitions result in a dynamic, growing, interesting environment.

    Cons

Minimum training except for sales team members.
    Lots of turnover.
Still not a completely cohesive strategy nor mission (getting there...)
    Very political environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to work on articulating a strong, mission-oriented strategy and brand image. Neutralize some of the politics by attempting to stem the turnover of staff.

Fun place to work with Quality people

I worked at Infor as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

I consulted with Infor in 2013. I found that the direct management is open to input from the staff. They allow flexible hours and work from home, as long as you are consistently getting work done. The people here are friendly and knowledgable. The newer products are quite a lot of fun to work on, and very innovative, in my opinion.

    Cons

Much like every other company, they want their software released ASAP, and sometimes that has a negative effect on quality. My experience there, though, was one where we were given time to correct shortcuts we made after making a successful launch. So while deadlines might be tight, there is a focus on quality here, thus my high rating.

I'm not much of a Windows person, but they are big into Windows, and the infrastructure is C#. This isn't necessarily a con, but some people prefer to avoid it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think you are doing the right thing. The culture here is one of teamwork and camaraderie, and I for one would work here again.

    Pros

Opportunity to make good money in sales departments.

    Cons

Hard to move around to new positions. Very unorganized. Not a great incentive and bonus structure unless in sales.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need more employee motivation and incentive programs.

I worked at Infor full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great products and strong investment in development functions. Good people, and some who know what they're doing and why. Easy to just do a job and take home your salary.

    Cons

Too many people sitting back and getting paid for doing little. There is no strategy, no matter what the claims are otherwise. In sales, it's all about closing deals - there is no process that takes into account what customers want. Needs a cultural revolution - but it's more like Oracle circa late 90s than Oracle or SAP in the 21st century. Unlikely to change with current execs in place.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Define and share a strategy, your people have no idea what the company direction is other than 'sell more stuff'.
