Pros – It's a small company, so upper management will know who you are and often recognize a job well done or extra effort. The company culture is relaxed but professional, and the people are great. The health benefits are above average. Flexible telecommuting options, if the position allows for it. Metro commute, if required to visit clients or go to training, is reimbursed. In the HQ office, there are bagels, donuts, and fruit every Friday morning. Management will order pizza/food randomly and fairly regularly for the whole office. Coffee and tea are provided/available at any time.

Cons – I think the cons are all typical of any small company: It's a small company, which translates to not much room to move around in terms of promotions, sometimes. This could be considered an upside by some, but again because it's a small company, some people become "jacks of all trades" but masters of none, covering many team roles and technologies. People worry about what will happen when certain members of upper management retire: will the departments they run continue to exist?

Advice to Senior Management – It would be great to get some quarterly communication about the state of the company: What's in the pipeline? What are the current business goals? Forward looking statements. That sort of thing.
