satisfies your hunger to learn and work

    Product Engineer (Former Employee)
    Gurgaon, Haryana (India)

Prosample work, great exposure to various phases of the project development. if the person has the attittude to learn then there is so much to learn. no free time or sitting idle time for the employee even at the senior management level. IM is a good pay master(atleast i was happy with the salary :) ) infrastructure is good as per its size. also timely comp offs granted with ease. And the domain is good, in fact new of its kind in market

Conslot of work to do, the work at hand never ends. no work life balance. extra working hours or working on weekends is a routine. Senior management is always not happy with your performance and makes big issues out of little mistakes. no onsite oppurtunity. Blame game too high for junior level and mid level employees. makes a hype out of every tiny issue

Advice to Senior ManagementSenior management should look at the way the employee performs and not direclty go by the feedback of others. Also personal and professonal issues should be kept separate and dealt with separately.

    rarely saw anyone working late.
    flexible timings.
office celebrations for birthdays and others.
    great in-house training

ConsComplex business domain- but the training handles that
Can be a High Intensity fast-paced environment

Good place to learn. However, poor senior management, bad communication and zero innovation.

    Development (Former Employee)
    Dublin, Dublin (Ireland)

Pros1. The company will help you grow your career path.
    2. You will be given alot of responsibility, sometimes outside of your core role, enabling you to learn new skills / competencies.
    3. You will make alot of friends as the social side of the company is great.
    4. Quite flexible / accommodating working hours.
    5. Good benefits (healthcare, pension, bike to work scheme, laptop, phone (if your role demands it)
    6. Central office location.
    7. Opportunity to travel to client sites all over the world.
    8. The business and technical knowledge throughout the company is strong and you can learn alot.

Cons1. Non-competitive salaries. Unless you are top level management, or a long-term employee, you will not be paid well compared to the rest of the market.
    2. No bonus structure. No accountability for bad work. This has resulted in a less motivated workforce.
    3. Objectives, one to one manager involvement, salary reviews & promotions are dis-organised, inconsistent and generally haphazard.
    4. Very little innovation & creativity with respect to software development. There is no R&D. Development culture is reactive and unmotivated rather than pro-active and enthusiastic.
    5. Senior Management proved to be a resistant and destructive with respect to some decisions (e.g. HR initiatives, marketing, UX re-design) while reckless and naive with others (e.g. financials, scaling the business too aggressively, communicating to employees).
    6. The business model is flawed. There is too much work for too little employees and not enough revenue.
    7. Many resources and functions within the business have been migrated to a newer office in India. While this has helped with short-term needs such as reduced cost, increased business knowledge and APAC market coverage, the effects have proved more negative long-term. Product quality, team collaboration and overall company morale have declined.
    8. Taking advantage of employees.

Advice to Senior Management1. Stop re-shuffling and re-using the same management team when things need to change. Remove and replace.
    2. Get further financial investment.
    3. Implement proper people management and rewards structure in an effort to improve employee attrition rate, morale & motivation.
    4. Development culture needs to change. Be innovative and don't resist change.
    5. Re-factor the core platform.
    6. Concentrate on deals that are winnable, projects that are profitable and requirements that are within the products sweet-spot.

Used to be a great company.

    Developer (Former Employee)
    Dublin, Dublin (Ireland)

ProsA lot of very good people on staff that are highly motivated
Some excellent domain knowledge within the company.
    Dublin office centrally located.
A low stress environment to work in with a good work life balance and good raport (craic) within the office.
Competitive pay and package (when they are honouring the pensions! )
    Interesting and engaging work.

ConsA rush to reduce costs by offshoring everything has resulted in poor moral, deteriorating code quality and conflicts of interests between locations
No future if in the dublin office (new mgmt team seem content to continue the previous team's contention that cheaper is better).
Seem prepared to let good people move on and in no rush to replace those who leave (in dublin anyway).

Once upon a time this would have been a company that enforced best practice in software development, challenged existing practices where they thought weaknesses existed and embraced change when necessary to make its software better...this culture has fallen into decline in recent times.

Humiliation and Harassment can be part of your life

    Developer (Current Employee)
    Gurgaon, Haryana (India)

ProsSome Good and talented People Having great knowledge and passionate about their job. Other than that no good things to share about this company.

Cons- No work culture, lot of politics and favoritism.
    - No work life balance and incompetent managers. Though People in Dublin support for work life balance. But one would be lucky to get assigned under someone in Dublin. But the local management is always critical of people in Dublin and always try to show them down in front of team.
    - For a technology company, they really do not get tech. The interviews are like they are the using the best technology even though Technology Stack is very limited.
    - Some managers can abuse you and use foul language anywhere and anytime they wish. Arrogant management, very poor managers, they do not follow their core values rather it is just a marketing stand and provide opportunity to harass subordinates.
    - There is no growth opportunity and you would keep working on the same role forever. Falls promises by HR and managers is common.
    - Management says its one global organization but it is hardly practiced. Processes in India are the worst. In fact No process in place, everything is considered at individual level.
    - Support departments Like IT, HR, Finance, Admin work like govt. offices. And think they are the ones running the company. Policies are not employee friendly. You have to wait for months to get your claims processed from Finance.
    - "Core Values" is lip service -- they don't live by these. But expect employees in certain departments to follow them.
    - No meaningful training or career development
    - Facilities are a joke. No heating in office during winters. Office temperature fell below 10 degrees in winters. It was as if you are sitting in the open. Personal heaters were provided only for ‘key’ people.

Advice to Senior Management- Revamp the organisation and make managers, higher management and leadership answerable.
    - Develop better managers. The current managers are not qualified to manage people.
    - Don't just go for short term revenue. Try to build long term relationships not only with client but also with employees.
    - Proper assessment and appraisal process. Current process is so ugly that everything depends upon supervisor wish instead of individual hard work.
    - Take little bit of consideration of employees when making policies. And adhere to them.
    - Live by your values. Don’t just lip service about culture and values. At the very least learn some ethics.
    - Work together with Dublin people and follow 'one global organization' concept not just in words but in actions.
