    Pros

Medium growth company, which make good contributions to society around it. A job creation mechanism in some of the poorer areas of the world.

    Cons

Will lose out to competition consistently due to poor management. In several revenue growth areas, it is already a third tier player amongst its Indian competitors.

    Cons

work-life balance is horrible. You will have time for nothing other than work. Poor definition of your responsibilities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to bring in a work-life balance. Spend the money to build the capacity required for Sales, Pre-sales and Operations. Do not burden the senior delivery resources with everything and make him/her un-productive

I have been working at Infosys

    Pros

Infosys is one India based IT service companies. Therefore, IC is capable of getting in front of key industry leaders.

    Cons

Very critical, political, non-communicative, non-supportive work environment that fosters a frustrating, negative corporate culture. The incentives in the company drive everyone to mediocrity, not excellence. This is not a mgt consulting company but rather all technology focused (do not get caught up in the sales rhetoric). Clients will never view Infosys as a management consulting company but rather an outsourcing organization. Therefore, Infosys Consulting competes against the parent company for technology consulting deals and there lies the problem. The consulting arm will never win and thus it becomes the sales force for the larger company but does not get the sales credit. If you were born outside of the US or previously worked at Deloitte you stand a much better chance of success. You are expected to work at any given moment, day or night, and the benefits aren't very good, or very bad (healthcare). The review process is incredibly subjective - they make it sound objective on paper but in the end it comes down to who the partners want to reward or those people who have sucked up to the partners. A lot of good people have left or are looking to leave.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be true. Don't hire for strategy when you are an IT consulting company and will always be an IT consulting company. Stop believing that the company is great from the Partner's perspective. Anyone below Principal level can't get a lot of things done and ends up spending way too many hours on menial tasks that are not reflected in time sheets.
