Pros
awesome company - you will find great people to work with - I started my career with Infosys - and so far have learned a lot.
Cons
There is absolutely no growth what so ever. The upper management sucks big time.
Pros
Culture of fairness with employees. Strong ethics. Operationally excellent.
Cons
Focus and support of sales is limited. Highly beuracratic. Culture of democracy leads to slow decisions.
Advice to Senior Management
Implementing change and Infosys 3.0 requires stronger exec push and empowerment.... Great democracies have a strong executive branch !
Pros
Job Security, Good Training for freshers, Good campus facilities in the Indian development centres, Good team environment to work with
Cons
Policies controlling employees, Variable component in salaries, 9:15 hours average to be maintained per month (in India), not good work life balance.
Advice to Senior Management
please reduce the policies such as 9:15 hours and make it employee friendly rather than investor friendly. Take infosys back how it was 5 years ago.
Pros
only the brand name, nothing else.
Cons
low salary, incompetent management , no bonus
Advice to Senior Management
Hr policy review, salary hike, accomodation at onsite, consultants with more knowledge, bid for good projects other than production support also.
Pros
Fair process.. long term vision..
Cons
too much process.. Yes man culture
Advice to Senior Management
encourage creativity
Pros
Big IT Brand
Policy Driven Management
Growth Oriented Company
Cons
All bad symptoms of big company are prevailing now
No flexibility in finding right position for right skill sets
More focus on billable position while ignoring the employee strength and skill sets
Indian mindset that you can squeeze employee to maximize revenue
Old Good employees are leaving due to sick policies on many front
No focus on moving employees to higher orbits at all as focus on running the billing cycle
Advice to Senior Management
Management should care on quality of work, people over the quantity. If you pay peanuts you get monkeys. Systematic approach on how to degrade quality of everything around employees to save more money for stock holders is not a good policy.
Pros
Scale and Scope
Good work environment
Brand Equity
Cons
Salary structure
Too much dependence and control of founders
very slow to take decision and actions
Advice to Senior Management
Time to get dynamic and go for the kill in market. Laid back, profit focused organization cannot scale to IBMs of the world.
Pros
policies, work cutlture, openness, easy project find
Cons
biased appraisals,
right fitment of jobs vs positions and skills is missing
too much politics
certification
Advice to Senior Management
put the right people for the right kind of job.
Pros
flexible work schedule and work from home options
ability to choose different roles
onshore work life balance
secure job usually
Cons
conservative company both in management style and company performance
no retirement benefits & limited spending flexibility (for a consultant)
more of the same work everyday and less innovation
Pros
* Work for different clients (until recently, different industries)
* Opens the doors for traveling the world over
* Good brand on the resume
Cons
* Poor workforce quality
* Very poor HR and employee management
* Lack of innovation, survives only on cost difference
* Career growth cannot be non-linear, except when downwards
Advice to Senior Management
* Cut the workforce by half.
* Raise billing rates
* Add real value and innovation
* Keep re-doing KPIs org-wide, they're being gamed
* Allow upward, non-linear career progression on merit
