I worked at Infosys full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

the only positive thing about my experience was that I was glad to be hired in down market. Had lost my job the year before and was happy to be working again

    Cons

I was hired in US as a Technical Lead and was stationed at a company in Cupertino, CA. Infosys is a big company based in India with small offices around the world. I did have a sense of belonging since most of their employ come from India and stay together. Hard to mingle with them.
Employees hired in India go through a 4 months training, but new hires in US were placed in the client's environment expected to be productive from day one without any training on the product.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have a better training and orientation for US hires

and compensation and not enough perks
lack of clarity on several policies such as promotion , career growth etc

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

please create separate role for People Manager and keep Project Managers away from it.

I have been working at Infosys full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

If you are joining as a fresher from a non computer science background, then this is the company for you. The training facilities are really good and you can learn about a lot of stuffs that you might need as a software developer.

    Cons

Everything depends on the project that you are put in.
Even if you are trained in a different technology you will still have a chance that you might end up working in some other technology
Salary hike are not very consistent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to retain the good people.
Also try to care bout the career growth of the employee.

    Pros

Good company to start your career with. Onsite opportunities to US, UK etc. are good.

    Pros

    Job stability, no other pros.

    Cons

No company values, no perks, have to fight to get leaves ,no promotions.
a lot of my friends had their pay reduced cuz the company filed/extended H1B visa.
Managers favourites keep getting promotions irrespective of the work done.
In most meetings with senior managers you will be given non sense answers.

    stop screwing the employees.

I have been working at Infosys full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

If you lethargic and don;t want to move, want to just settle down. It's a retirement company.

    Cons

It more challenging. It's client centric, rather than focussing on technology and innovation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take radical decision, to promote the people who are really contributing to company success, instead of following some dumb policies.
