    Pros

Talented people, excellent management. There are plenty of opportunities and flexibility in moving around. India dev centers were more fun than being at US. Plenty of learning opportunities.

    Cons

very competitive, if you are not growing further in titles, people consider you not a good fitment. Technology people should be given adequate respect. somehow the culture of "good-talker" is best has been ingrained in the DNA.

I worked at Infosys full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Strong staff of leaders
    - Salaries somewhat competitive
    - Good benefits

    Cons

Work Life balance is not the best. Loss a close family member and was not allowed to attend the funeral.
India focused, if you are not from India there is a glass ceiling.
Not a entrepreneurial as they advertise. A lot bureaucracy to plow through

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to perform a "voice of the employee" by an outside firm
Need to apply "lean concepts" to many of your administrative processes
Minimize the differences between employees from different countries

    Pros

Infosys has international scope and reach, so for a new consultant it is a very good 'learning lab".

    Cons

Infosys is Indian owned and managed, and as such seasoned consultants who are not Indian are often discounted. A very political environment, that can lead to frustration and dissatisfaction for senior/seasoned practitioners.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Understand the global nature of the firm and need for global perspectives. Leverage your investments in human resources more effectively.

    Pros

None. (Great place for vegan's to work!) A hand full of good people - but now you've laid them off .... ; (

    Cons

Most disingenuous company I've ever experienced. Here is a company claiming to "Build Tomorrow's Enterprise" that forces employee's to use Blackberry's that don't allow web connectivity! How much confidence does that inspire with clients & prospects?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Executives blamed entire U.S. Marketing department for industry slowdown - the issue is your pathetic "leadership" and the most epically inept operations teams in the known universe. Advice? Sell yourselves quickly while you still have some perceived value.

    Pros

Good Clients, Huge network, opportunity to work in any location, Lengthy offshore calls(2-3 hours) for which you are not paid.

    Cons

    Compensation, Management, policies, Politics.

Managers misuse their position and favor to few employees.

I always had high respect for this company when I was in India. After working in various US based companies, I joined Infosys in US. But with in now time I got an understanding about how the company operates and why things are so complex in their world. I am no longer interested in working for Infosys.
