    Pros

Quality of Work is okay; HR is supportive and employee care is good. Excellent campuses at offshore with good facilities for employees

    Cons

Compensation is on lower side; Not much being done for retention of employees; No bonuses/ESOPs; Quality of work isn't great either

    Advice to Management

Improve pay packages; HR should have some say rather than just some 'Power centres' being vested with all decision making pertaining to employees' careers.

    - Provides a lot of opportunity - Preps you for new challenges and roles - Takes care of your finances and taxes

    Cons

    - growth is slow - Some times policy stalls your promotion

    Advice to Management

Role change should be based on the amount and quality of work a person does. And on its capacity and capability to perform the next role.

    Pros

Exposure to variety of projects, good people with concerned individuals that really try to make things work both internally and for clients

    Cons

24/7 work expectations, can be a little tough on personal life as this is a fast paced business with multiple leaders with varying expectations. Work/projects were decent but politics can be challenging

    Pros

Lots of vertical opportunity for marketing, until all of marketing outside of India was cut and we all lost our jobs.

    Cons

Highly bureaucrat with issues with getting bills paid, getting contracts approved, all human resources activities where Bangalore was involved were a nightmare

    Advice to Management

Have local talent in country as opposed to trying to run evertyhign from India. Some roles and resp are impossible to do from 10.5 hours away.

Former Employee - Consultant in New York, NY

I worked at Infosys (More than a year)

    Pros

Like any other Indian outsource firm... you get out what you put in.. Manage them to quality and they will perform. Some smart, committed employees, especially at the lower levels in the US

    Cons

Not forward thinkers.. too much 'me too'. Want to be thought leaders, but they're not.

    Advice to Management

If you're venturing into new markets and products....look outwards, not inwards.
