Was a great company in the past, is suffering because of poor senior management and employee unfriendly policies now.

    Pros

Gread for starters, good work environment, great campus, onsite opportunities, very good work-life balance.

    Cons

Poor pay, senior management so unpredictable and interested in shareholders money than to keep employees happy, 40% variable component and you are never paid what is on paper.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep employees happy, dont play with tweaking the variable.

    Pros

Values, Work ethics, Learning. If you perform, opportunities will keep coming.

    Cons

Decision making power is centralized at top management. Lower level managers who directly work with developers and architects have minimal control on making employee friendly decisions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't just go by policies every time. Some of them sound stupid. For example, to get internet access during office hours, a developer has to get approval from Delivery Manager or DC head. It doesn't make sense since they have no idea whether the developer needs it or not. Direct manager should be the best person to decide and approve or disapprove

    Pros

Process oriented company. Always give required resources to work with. Both human resources and computer resources. Everything is planned and goes per plan. Good start up company. A person who leaves Infosys will surely feel bad after joining any other company.

    Cons

Depends upon your manager. Sometimes strict process will make us feel why the hell this much processes to be followed. But for such a big company this is how things should work.
