    Cons

Centrally managed through HR with very few powers with immediate managers, High variable pay resulting in lesser take home every month

I worked at Infosys full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    1. Large company, with lot of name and fame.
    2. Training period will be tough but at the same time, fun.
    3. Best place to start a career with.

    Cons

    1. Very less scope to get into development projects, because of which most of the resources will be working on legacy technologies.
    2. If you are at Onsite, forget about latest technologies. It always depends on the manager.
    3. You will be in situations where you have to choose between onsite or promotion. Promotions happen very rarely at onsite, unless you are a pet to your manager.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

As the rotation policy is implemented to Junior/Mid level developers, like till the role of Technology Lead, it will be really helpful if the managers and senior managers also come under this policy.

I worked at Infosys full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

It is a good company to work with a professional environment/ Lot of personal touch as people in teams become real teams as lot of them will know each other personally too.

    Cons

Especially in last 2 years there are no new projects added leading to less opportunities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Empower middle level managers and involve them to bring in new projects. Hold on and do not panic.

I have been working at Infosys full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Immediate managers have always been supportive, understanding and willing to fight the good fight for me.

    Cons

Only 10 vacation days a year in the US. Need to keep adding more based on length of employment. Employees making more than 115K annually are considered HCE for 401K purposes and hence 401K compensation is limited to $3,000 per year.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Delivery and Sales are usually at logger heads and BEF is not totally supportive. CRR system + Mismatch in Business Goals and Strategy (between Sales, Delivery and BEF) creates a culture of too much politics which is not conducive to business growth, client satisfaction and customer retention. Too much money vasted on vanities like how the campuses building looks. Salaries for new comers always higher than existing employees which forces them to leave and that is a loss for the delivery function at ground level.
