Current Employee – been working at Infosys
Pros – Infrastructure.
Less Politics compared to other companies
Cons – 1. Certifications - You need to study and pass an exam on topics which Infy doesnt even give us an opportunity to work on, moreso with 75% passing marks!!! and if u dont complete this, you dont get good appraisal ratings nor are you eligible for promotions. And did I forget to tell, you have 2 such exams a year. Atrocious..
2. Working hours - 9 hrs 15 min, you have work or you dont, it doesnt matter. Infy claims to have flexi working hours. Dont see any flexibility here though.
3. Transport facility - Infy sets-up its DCs in far flung areas which will have very little mode of transportation. and the transport facility that Infy provides is during early hours of the morning, which if you miss means shelling out hundreds of rupees to the autowallas to reach the office.
4. Salary - The freshers get salaries almost equal to that of a 3-4 year experienced person working in the same company. Infy thinks it can work with freshers alone..
5. And the greatest con of this company is its HR Head - she has a background of being BPO HR and thinks that HR decisions which work fine for BPO will work for technology as well..
Advice to Senior Management – HR needs to rethink about its certifications and other new policies that they have brought up. Else they stand to lose not just their employees but also their (previously known good) name..

Current Employee – been working at Infosys
Pros – Learning Processes
Onsite opportunities / roles can be good.
Growth (atleast before iRace) better than industry average
Cons – work life balance
9.25 hours daily work average requirement
certifications that are irrelevant to the work
Advice to Senior Management – trust employees that you proudly say you have hired 1 from every 100000 applications.
Stop marketing gimmicks (iRace was projected as just a role mapping within organization, but projected as whopping promotions in the media)

Current Employee – been working at Infosys
Pros – nice colleagues and good exposure to technology.mangers are easily accessible
some very talented people to work with and also some very tough people to be pleased that provides u a good experience
Cons – management sucks , policy that are made to torment employees and salaries given are like peanuts , good prjects are rarity
Advice to Senior Management – rather than doing politics and unnecessary expenses on infrastructure , salaries should be reviewd, employees shud be judged solely on the basis of performance

Current Employee – been working at Infosys
Pros – It has Good Training, It lets employees handle responsibilites at much lower level than other companies. Company has good insfra in India
Cons – Tries to live more in media and less in reality, low pay, not very structured and most sucesses are built on individual competencies
Advice to Senior Management – Management is busy with its over facination with stock market and shareholder satisfaction. Please turn your attention on employee issues also. Frame people friendly policies and give them their due share from company profitability.

Current Employee – been working at Infosys
Pros – good company to start as a fresher, you will have a really good training there in Mysore, very good infrastructure, well maintained campuses, transparency in different processes, well maintained its intranet applications, internal technical trainings are good, company has very good library and E&R dept. overall if you are looking this comp from outside, looks terrific.... no doubt.
Cons – as you become 2-3 years there in Infosys and you are not lucky enough to get onsite, this whole place will be like a hell. your salary compared to industry will be low, you will have 100s of policies to follow, you will suddenly feel you higher management does not there to listen you. Overall you will feel like you are screwed here, get some other place to have fresh air...
Advice to Senior Management – need to be more loyal, respectful and humble with the old employees in the organization, compare the salary Infy give to laterals and the employee here with the same exp., count the average no of policies you introduce in a week, count how many good talents are still waiting for getting promoted as they didn't get CRR 1 coz he couldn't clear the Certification. 9.25 hrs a day and campus is at the end of the city who will count the another 2.5 hrs what we everyday give in traveling just to get the workplace. People walk almost around the campus to reaching his/her cube as this gate is opened that time and that only for IN. Policies must be there to enhance the work culture and to give better personal life to their employees. People are frustrated and exhausted here, please give them a break.
