I have been working at Infosys full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    -Manageable hours. weekends off, mostly.
-Decent salary for american recruited talent and MBA grads.
-Diverse workforce and management opportunities offshore from on-site

    Cons

-IT infrastructure is lagging other IT service firms. Administration and self-serve services are difficult to deal with and are time consuming
-Promotion is dependent on how well the company is doing and the company has not been doing the best in recent years
-Upper management is a mixed bag. Definitely some very bright and strong leaders as well as manager whom one thinks, "how did he get promoted?"

    Pros

None. (Great place for vegan's to work!) A hand full of good people - but now you've laid them off .... ; (

    Cons

Most disingenuous company I've ever experienced. Here is a company claiming to "Build Tomorrow's Enterprise" that forces employee's to use Blackberry's that don't allow web connectivity! How much confidence does that inspire with clients & prospects?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Executives blamed entire U.S. Marketing department for industry slowdown - the issue is your pathetic "leadership" and the most epically inept operations teams in the known universe. Advice? Sell yourselves quickly while you still have some perceived value.

    Pros

Good Clients, Huge network, opportunity to work in any location, Lengthy offshore calls(2-3 hours) for which you are not paid.

    Cons

    Compensation, Management, policies, Politics.

Managers misuse their position and favor to few employees.

I always had high respect for this company when I was in India. After working in various US based companies, I joined Infosys in US. But with in now time I got an understanding about how the company operates and why things are so complex in their world. I am no longer interested in working for Infosys.

    Cons

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Select managers based on their management capacity, or train them, understand others business processes, listen to your customers. do not think that one model applies to everyone. and so many more...
