    Great people and culture

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsAmazing, smart people who are passionate about their work and fun to be around. Good office culture. It feels like a family, you can unwind with a beer on a Friday afternoon or sit and have lunch with whoever is around. People are friendly and seem genuinely happy to be here.

Company invests in cool training and offsite team building events such as Sleepless, Global Coding Contest and Learning by the Lake (to name a few).

If you work hard and perform well, you will be rewarded.

ConsGrowing rapidly so still trying to figure out its structure and processes need to be streamlined. This is not the place for you if you can't handle a little bit of imperfection and chaos. On the flip side, there is a lot of opportunity to contribute your ideas to a changing and growing company.

The NYO is a little broken up with consultants working at various client sites and the addition of a second home office. However Infusion has a lot of events (social, tech nights, lunch and learns, book clubs, staff meetings) so there is opportunity to interact with people who you don't see every day.

    Fun and fast-paced

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsFantastic people, extremely intelligent and likable people, and excellent opportunities for growth. Not a lot of hand holding, but lots of support from management to expand and explore your role. They treat their employees to lots of food and events.

ConsFast paced, and trying to accomplish a lot, which isn't a con, but communication can sometimes get muddled.

    Awesome people, Ample opportunity

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsIf you are looking for a small town feel, but with a metropolis of opportunity and exposure. Infusion is a great choice. Infusion is global, fast pace, exciting and willing to take risks that move the company into a more fruitful direction.

Like every other company in the world, infusion is not absent of imperfection. But different from my past jobs, they actually empower their employees to help solve these problems, and give them to tools and support to deliver.

If you come in, work hard, use your voice and deliver - you can do achieve things and go far here.
If you are someone that is debilitated by challenges and are comfortable being an armchair change agent , then Infusion is probably not the best fit. If you want change - then you have to actually help - change.

Infusion is a home for over achievers with enough energy and aptitude to change the world, but enough patience and grace to do it one step at a time. The people at Infusion are extraordinary and i love working here.

ConsOutgrew its shoes quick. Infrastructure taking some time to catch up.

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat operations with as much reverence and respect as billable folks.

    Avoid

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsContract work the best. They are always messing up projects so always need good contractors last minute

ConsReally bad reputation - most folks are now leaving after on year there.
Terrible liars. The previous reviews are not coming from employees but to get their ratings back up.

Advice to Senior Managementyou treat your execs like an extended family rather than fire them if they mess up, and they do. A lot.

Consulting is a tough business, this is a pretty good option

Solution Architect (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsIf you are good at your job and driven to expand your role and grow there is a lot of room to move up here. It does take a lot of personal drive in order to get yourself noticed as there are a lot of people here trying to move up.
If you want a job where you can meet expectations and get career growth, try somewhere else, this company provides growth to the best go-getters only. Everyone else gets upset that they don't go anywhere but its on them

ConsThe problem is that they are scared of bench time so they only hire when there has been a long period of not being able to staff projects effectively. Therefore people have a bad experience and its harder to hire good people.
Its pretty tough to work on capital markets projects as the assignments are long and the management in that practice aren't the same as the rest of the company.
They also have a pretty confusing and ineffective level of middle management in North America but they are ignore-able in the most part.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop being scared of bench time.
Get rid of the 2 NA GMs and get one for Canada and one for USA so there is actually proper focus on USA priorities.
Provide more structured rewards for employees putting in their own time

Great for experience, however, company graved with unethical practices

Team Lead (Former Employee) New York, NY

Pros-Good experience if you are on a high profile project and company
-Still a relatively small company, so you can certainly take advantage of learning multiple aspects of running projects, executing and sales (all in one)
-Predominantly centered around Microsoft (that could be good or bad)

Cons- like any other consulting company, sales supersedes development/executing teams (this has multiple consequences..)
    - compensation is a joke (including bonuses) - they are meant to be tied to performance, so they try to take the smallest thing and make it sound really really bad.
    - stressful - its a consulting company at the end of the day - their business thrives on selling more and the only way to do that really fast is for the sales team to promise the world and pass on the stress to the execution teams. but you can really excel here if you are wanting to learn quickly and spend extra time (without any appreciation - other than personal growth really)

Advice to Senior Managementtreat your developers well (they are not cheap labour for the sales team)

    Needs leadership

    (Former Employee)

ProsSales - Fun bunch of people and has great ability to pitch to the client. They are being lead by a smart guy. Amazing how they manage to sell services to clients when everything else is a mess.
Consultants - Bunch of very smart people, and always willing to learn and work hard.

ConsDelivery - Those on top have been in the company for awhile, and have no exposure to best practices. They have done a number of big projects but still make the same mistakes. Clients constantly complain about situation that could have been avoided if management listen to those on the ground. Political, ignorant and arrogant.
Poland - Smart but extremely difficult to work with.
Resourcing - Constant issue with getting enough bodies to work on what is sold, which affects the ability for the company to deliver, be profitable and maintain customer satisfaction.
    Communication - Poor!

Advice to Senior ManagementNeed a executive management shuffle and bring in new people with better experience and proper governance.

    ok at best

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

Prosit's an international company, and plenty of great opportunities for growth and travel for some people.

Consi worked back office, and it seemed like back office staff got the short end of the stick for almost everything.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to the complaints. It's always the same complaints, but it feels like there's no change.
