    Pros

The best moments about working for Ingersoll Rand was knowing that you were allowed an opportunity to show your true talents.

    Cons

The cons were not having strong business relationships internally to challenge long-term employees.

    Advice to Management

Each person should have cross training on various areas of each others tasks. This cuts down on the excuse of "I don't know how to do that!"

    Pros

A lot of opportunities here in corporate. Great health insurance, retirement, and non-salary benefits.

    Cons

Promotions are limited, unless you are on the "inside track". There are some really horrible managers employed here that should have been cut a long time ago.

    Advice to Management

Company is on the right track. There tends to be cost cutting as far as hiring salaries go. Need to look at this a little more in depth to stay competitive.

    Pros

Great place to work, if you are willing to work. IR expects a great deal and rewards performance. If you make excuses and are comfortable blaming others, skip over this firm

    Cons

Must relocate on a timely basis to crack top levels of the organization. Not all bad, they do not hide behind this

    Advice to Management

keep working on the culture, what you are doing is making a great difference

    Pros

Good Benefits, flexible hours and growth potential within the organization made Ingersoll Rand a solid employer. Leadership was consistent and effective and direct manager was excellent.

    Cons

Business Units were siloed at times making cross-unit collaboration difficult. Individual efforts and creativity were sometimes lost due to the size on the company.

    Advice to Management

Find new was the leverage technology to drive individual creativity and performance. Company as a whole was seen as a laggard to new technologies.

    Pros

Great opportunities for growth and expansion, multiple global brands, and offices in many cities around the world.

    Cons

Low pay, internally focused, leaders do not make good business decisions or lead, they are more focused on themselves and playing the game, lacks innovation, and doesn't develop or maintain diversity.

    Advice to Management

Do what you say you're going to do. Externally you appear one way but internally it is the opposite.
