    Pros

They always worked with my schedule. I worked the weekends to keep up with school and during the holidays, when I asked for an earlier shift, I was given it. Working as a cashier here also gave me the chance to develop my customer service skills and exposure to working in a fast paced environment.

    Cons

You're on your feet most of the time, but you'll get used to it. It can also be very stressful during peak hours. And sometimes they'll have you on-call.

    Advice to Management

You guys are human, but stop with the favoritism.

    Pros

Friendly customers. Easy labor. Nice environment. Good hours. Nice pay.

    Cons

Slacking in management department. Short staffed. Felt more like high school than a job. No discounts. Did not have up to date equipment.

    Advice to Management

My advice would be to train managers to be professionals. Lying, sneaking around, and degrading employees is not professional whatsoever.

    Pros

Meet many different people and gain a respect for the people who put up with the customer service industry. Also store managers can make really good money through commission bonus

    Cons

Low pay, little respect, minimal benefits unless you are store manager or higher. Company/management takes any tips you receive from customers

    Advice to Management

When you have entry level workers doing the jobs of department managers, and vice versa, you're turnover rate of employees is going to stay high. Pay more attention to those who are willing to work hard, not who sucks up the most.

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

none to speak of at this present time

    Cons

Schedules are not posted till hours before new work week begins. Poor examples of store level leadership. Corporate often lacks knowledge of what store level management does resulting in confusion and tension. Store level managers often intimidate employees by predicating their continued employment status on their willingness to participate in practices that go against Corporate guidelines

    Advice to Management

No point in giving advice. Ingles does not take advice from their employees.

    Pros

people are great and you gain a lot of experience with help if you need it.

    Cons

management could be better if they treated their employees like their an essential part of the "team". and the only scanning gun we have is at u-scan so if you have a bad back good luck lifting water bottle cases.

    Advice to Management

being less harsh and providing the correct equipment to employers can help avoid a lawsuit.
