    Pros

Good amount of hours, everyone is super nice, and really easy to ask for days off.

    Cons

I had no orientation, just a few days of training, so there were instances where I didnt know how to handle a situation.

I have been working at Ingles Markets full-time

    Pros

friendly environment, most other employees are easy to work with, most customers are friendly, and someone will always make your day being a cahsier

    Cons

the store manager does not like to give yearly raises, the managers show extreme favoritism, there is some sexual harassment with the managers and the district does nothing about it

    Advice to Management

TREAT YOUR EMPLOYEES RIGHT, being in management there should be a respectful business approach to everything you do

I worked at Ingles Markets full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Being respected by management and working with great people who made my day happier and fun

    Cons

Some employees still in high school who often had poor work ethics, and disrespected customers. But every entry level job will have that as they are learning what work is like.

  6. I no longer shop there

I worked at Ingles Markets part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There weren't any pros. I guess you could consider being left alone for the most part a pro but they also never helped you when you needed them.

    Cons

One manager was an alcoholic, one always was on break, and another was just an all around grouch. I was never properly trained, they messed up my paycheck with another person's, and then never scheduled me again. I won't even shop there anymore.

    Advice to Management

Get better, more professional management that does their job.

I have been working at Ingles Markets part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It is a good place to get some retail /or customer service exp. or someone in school their first job. but don't plan on a career there unless you had pervious retail Management exp. it does pay weekly and yearly raises .

    Cons

I like my job it's just hard to move up to a full time position with benefits unless you are an Assistant Manager, or Manager and the Managers never quit also you have to almost have to be one of their buddies just to move to their department or a nice looking lady, And most of them are busy sucking up the Store Manager & his asst. Manager it's kind of like a next in line type deal , lol I guess its like this everywhere now days .

    Advice to Management

Just be fair and have an open door to all, treat everyone the same. listen to employees and their suggestions they may have. I do believe CEO, Robert P. Ingle II should visit the stores more often . I know he has high standards and good morals just wish it would trickle down the totem pole.

    Pros

Work with good people most of the time

    Cons

No full time. No benefits. No communication between management and workers when something changes. Very high turnover. VERY ERRATIC AND ODD HOURS. If you want to be home with your family at certain times...forget it.

    Advice to Management

Reward your good employees. Pay them a living wage!

I worked at Ingles Markets part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They always worked with my schedule. I worked the weekends to keep up with school and during the holidays, when I asked for an earlier shift, I was given it. Working as a cashier here also gave me the chance to develop my customer service skills and exposure to working in a fast paced environment.

    Cons

You're on your feet most of the time, but you'll get used to it. It can also be very stressful during peak hours. And sometimes they'll have you on-call.

    Advice to Management

You guys are human, but stop with the favoritism.
