    A Solid Organization

Business Development Director (Former Employee) Parsippany, NJ

    Prosvery stable, well funded
    extremely diverse workforce
deep client list and diversity of therapeutic area experience
    very friendly and helpful staff
plentiful resources and support via parent company (Quintiles)

    Conslarge company bureaucracy
not as flexible as smaller companies
many layers of corporate policies that stifle innovation
    slow to react to market

Advice to Senior ManagementLeadership at Innovex needs to commit themselves to a single strategic direction and stick to it for long enough to asses whether or not it worked. In general, the organization needs to do more to be a trend setter and not a follower.

    Great place to start

Pharmaceutical Sales Representative (Former Employee) Macon, GA

ProsIt is a great way to get your foot in the door. If you have a decent contract, there is potential to roll into permanent positions.

ConsYou can get stuck in a contract position-- meaning that real companies will not hire you. They look at you like you are sub-human & a joke-- even though you are doing the exact same thing as their reps!

Advice to Senior ManagementThere is a disconnect regarding the goals of the innovex managers and the project managers. The innovex managers will step in and RUIN projects-- they have NO sales experience!!

    Great Depending on the project

Specialty Pharmaceutical Sales Representative (Former Employee) Denver, CO

ProsVery Flexibile management staff, great benefits and paid time off, overall was treated with respect and courtesy, great training programs

ConsA lot of the jobs that are posted on the site are bogus, they are just resume hoarding for future projects

Advice to Senior ManagementNone at this time

    No Job Security.

Pharmaceutical Sales Representative (Current Employee) Hattiesburg, MS

ProsGreat Pay and benefits. If you are looking to break into pharma, this is a great opportunity.

ConsThis company is great, while it last. Please keep in mind that it is a contract sales organization and if the company who signs the contract wants to end it. Your time with them is over. Innovex does not give preferential treatment to current employees for future contracts. RUN

    OK pay - terrible management

    Contract Sales Representative (Former Employee)

ProsThe company pays pretty well compared to other companies. Benefit package is fair. The company is usually pretty flexible when it comes to paid time-off and work life balance.

ConsManagement is run by the good ol' boys club. My manager was recruited because he was a friend of a friend.

Advice to Senior ManagementHire better and more qualified managers. Look into the organization and promote. You have great talented leaders among you. You will lose them soon if you do not start promoting. Unfortunately it is then you well have to face them as your competitiors.

Good for new reps, but low long term potential.

    Medical Sales Representative (Current Employee)

    ProsGreat company culture
Plenty of training opportunities for those who want them
Give everybody a go, even new reps.
Possibility for quick career progression (if positions arise)

ConsFar too much unnecessary paper work
Average pay with far lower incentives than big pharma
    Terrible work/life balance
Limited career scope due to lack of regular job opportunities and limited company size

Advice to Senior ManagementReally think about what you're getting your reps to do before implementing new ideas and protocols. There's so much work that is a complete and utter waste of time for the company, the client and the employee, yet reps are forced to do it.
Not to mention that reps in big pharma do far less work for better pay and far more product related company support.

As good as a contract company can be.

    Sales (Current Employee)

ProsInnovex works diligently with the companies they partner with. This seems to trickle down to the contract representatives.

ConsIt is contract employment that can be terminated through no fault of Innovex.

Advice to Senior ManagementCommunicate more frequently.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
