It's fun to be a part of the restaurant industry, and work with companies that are part of every day life. The company's solutions really help clients, so it's satisfying to see that we're "making a difference." Also, the company has generous salaries and benefits, and believes in work/life balance. Finally, the location is convenient to all parts of the Bay Area and the off-sites are in fun locations.

Cons

Because it's an industry focused solution, it's not viewed as a pure technology company in the valley, so harder to move to other places.

Advice to Senior Management

Make sure you don't forget to take care of people.

No specific guidelines for promotions
Management shows little interest if you would like to do something different and outside your job description... like get on the management track.. goes along with the lack of mentorship
Company strives for great backend solutions but doesnt really put in much effort on user interfaces

Establish a mentorship program
Encourage employees to grow themselves and offer incentives and initatives
Improve communication between employees and senior managers. Feels too much like a vertical structure
