Former Employee – worked at Institute For Information Industry full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Tons of learning opportunities. Nice office environment and facilities.
Cons – Really low salary. There is a certain "civil servant" flavor that pervades. Co-worker talent is really varied, from brilliant to serious underperformers who manage to stay due to connections rather than competence.
Advice to Senior Management – Some flexibility with the salary levels to account for experience other than degrees would make employees feel more valued.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

Current Employee – been working at Institute For Information Industry
Pros – The environment is fine. Can learn different field people and work.
Got a lot of chance to do different field study if you want to
Cons – The management style is not open-mind enough to accept the new idea/suggestion even though they say we accept all ideas
Advice to Senior Management – need to be open-mind to accept new ideas and need to understand what the employee really want and how to ....
