Terrible management and a lazy workforce that has no accountability.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
Atlanta, GA

I worked at Institute of Nuclear Power Operations as a contractor for more than a year

ProsThe salary was great. Flexible work hours made life easier.

ConsInternal politics, poor communication, and a lack of investment in employees with diverse backgrounds. Huge generational gap. Employees should expect favoritism and unwarranted promotions. The constant flux of contract workers has proven fatal to the continuation and success of vital projects. Millennials consistently leave this company for management they can look up to and learn from.

Advice to Senior ManagementCreate an open-door policy, invest in an action tracking system for accountability, and rebuild the HR department into one that is reliable and believes in confidentiality.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Company has lost focus. Expect to do work of 3 people, without reward, recognition. Promotes the wrong people.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
Atlanta, GA

I have been working at Institute of Nuclear Power Operations

ProsStable work environment. Good benefits package. Good place to gain experience doing a lot of different jobs, tasks, projects, etc. .

ConsOld-school management. Employees are rewarded if they're "yes" men. No recourse for employees who have been treated unnfairly by a supervisor. Limited growth potential or advancement opportunities because company is rather small.

Advice to Senior ManagementEstablish an outside ombudsman so employees can air grievances without fear of reprimand. Company has too much of an internal focus. Employees do busy work that doesn't produce results. Stop rewarding mediocre managers whose greatest concern is protecting their jobs. Reward people who do the work, not those who say they do the work.
