Current Employee – been working at Insurance Technologies (Texas) full-time
Pros – Nice office atmosphere, very flexible hours, super casual dress code, great coworkers. The products are innovative and interesting to work on.
Cons – Vision can be a bit cloudy, trying to sometimes go too many ways at once. Benefits o.k, but could be better for the industry this is in, technology.
Advice to Senior Management – Good pay and benefits help to attract and keep good people, maybe time to revisit some of these things.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at Insurance Technologies (Texas)
Pros – Management is continually involved with employees in IWB department and they are always open to suggestions to help improve the company. Management wants to keep employees informed of different aspects of the company and share new ideas with employees. Coworkers are very easy to work with. Company focuses a lot on overall improvement as a whole instead of only money.
Customers are a joy to work with and they really like the servies that ITC provides.
Great new office :)
Cons – Previous building was not the best one and some people could complain about it. If you live in Dallas, the driving through 635 is going to be fun.
Advice to Senior Management – Management has improved a lot, but I think the company could improve some processes to increase performance.

Current Employee – been working at Insurance Technologies (Texas)
Pros – ITC is the best company I have worked for so far. I have been at a few companies and this place stands out. I am not quite sure what the other poster is talking about. It seems that the company is growing with products that are fun to work with. I am always challenged with new projects that push me to learn more.
Customers are a joy to work with because they actually like the products that they have purchased.
On top of it all the new building is great!
The best part of working here is the family atmosphere. I really enjoy coming to work to be with my "work" family.
Cons – Sometimes when the project is on the line extra hours might be required. Communication from management about company direction and performance requires improvement at times. This has been better as of late. I agree that the old building was horrible, to say the least. The new building that they now are in is awesome.
Advice to Senior Management – Better communication of projects, direction and performance is a must! More company level events such as pot lucks, outings and lunches like the network cookouts.

Former Employee – worked at Insurance Technologies (Texas)
Pros – -Allowed employees to come into work at 10am.
-Decent pay.
-Office functions during the middle of the day on certain months that allowed employees to R&R.
-Beer Fridays during the end of the day.
-My experience here motivated me to return to school as a part time student and leave software engineering alone for good.
Cons – -Really run down office environment with leaky ceilings and germ infested floors due to sewage flooding.
-Office lights were off 95% of the time.
-Lack of parking due to employee relatives taking employee parking spots as they visited their relatives.
-Mandatory work attendance during extremely terrible weather conditions(i.e. 10 inches of snow). Remote access not allowed.
-Too much micromanagement from coordinators and supervisors.
-Coordinators assume they make no mistakes and have no faults.
-Most employees are very condescending because they have been working for the company 10+ years.
-Most coordinators are very condescending as well.
-Lots of favoritism geared in favor towards veteran employees.
-Veteran employees had tendency to brag about former employees being fired.
-Demand new employees to be auto insurance experts after three months of employment.
Advice to Senior Management – (1) Stop with all the micromanagement. It's not doing you any favors.
(2) Treat employees equally. Do not play favorites by monitoring your new employees every single move, while you completely ignore every little unetiquette thing veteran employees do.
(3) If (1) and (2) are not done, consider a hiring freeze for future software programmers. We live in a bad economy right now and no one wants to be without a job.

Pros – ITC is always looking for the next great product to help independent, agents get ahead of the larger captive companies.
Our products are never stagnant and we're always researching the next big thing in agency automation. Employees are always encouraged to present new ideas to management and if an employee sees a better way to do something, management is always happy to hear an idea and give it a try.
My team works together and helps each other in any way we can, even if it's just to be a sound board when a team member gets really busy.
Cons – Long days are sometimes required to complete tasks but, in this economy, can you consider always having work to do a con? My team does have a philosophy of results before the time clock.
You're never going to get along with everyone you work with but recently management has worked hard to bring teams together so we can get to know each other and work better together.
Advice to Senior Management – Continue team building between the different product/sales teams as this seems to be helping communication.
