    I worked at Integra LifeSciences

    Pros

I found the employees to be dedicated and very professional. Always willing to assist one another with the many daily work challenges.

    Cons

It was very challenging balancing work/life. What job it's these days! Upper management was working on it but not there yet.

I worked at Integra LifeSciences (less than a year)

    Pros

Co-workers were great and the wages were very fair. The actual work was interesting and the customer base was great. Interaction with fellow employees rated very high.

    Cons

The training was extremely poor and communication between management and employees was poor!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Train your trainers!

I worked at Integra LifeSciences full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Most employees are team players. PTO is about the best thing they offer.

    Cons

Employees who give 100% are definitely not compensated for it. Management doesn't listen to employees. I feel that the company is headed in the wrong direction. You can't give employees 1-2% raises and expect them to stay!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clean house and give the employees that deserve good raises more money!

    Pros

Great People to work with. Great products.

    Cons

Constant change of management structure is questionable. The higher ups don't really have any understanding of how things function effectively on a day to day basis.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try and get to know your employees needs. Communication is key.

    Pros

Casual office environment, coworkers are friendly

    Cons

If you're not in New Jersey, prepare to be terminally ignored. That is, unless you need to ask for support or any capital expenditures; then the answer is a resounding NO! They seem very surprised that things are going downhill when they haven't been investing in newer equipment or replacing all the long-timers that have left. No opportunities for advancement; raises and bonuses are a joke. They make a big deal about the employee engagement survey, but everyone is still miserable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upgrade aging equipment and facilities or else things are going to start being held together by duct tape. Listen to your employees, they're the ones actually doing the work; they don't need you making things more difficult in a difficult time.

    Pros

If acquired in a different state they pretty much leave you alone.

    Cons

1.5% raises, poor management, never feel secure because of the large turnover. They view the NJ facility as the only location that matters in the company.

Former Employee - Director in Cincinnati, OH

I worked at Integra LifeSciences full-time

    Pros

The company is so needy, you can readily assume responsibility for a wide bandwidth of activity. They also value experience from J&J, Covidien, and other large device/pharma firms.

    Cons

The quality of management is low. They seem to be the "cast offs" of larger companies and don't get the fact that employees should be valued and developed. The pays and benefits are bad. There is no respect for the employee. I was constantly embarrassed by the behavior of senior employees on site and from New Jersey.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to understamd people more and motivate them.

    Pros

Great people within the organization who cling together to survive the incredibly difficult culture.

    Cons

Culture is difficult to get through as new employees as there are no training programs. Even though I worked 10+ hours 6 days a week and worked from home for 7 years. I never got a bonus and received on average 2% raises. Then corporate Managers would come to our site to tell us how many millions of profit the company was making. Ran very lean, so lean that people were doing the work of 2 and 3 people and were burned out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The culture improvements starts with top leadership.
