Management needs to promote people based on merit, and not just who you know - sometimes lacks competency - a lot.

Pros
- Very smart and competent group of people
- Option to move around and try different things
- Management very supportive and appreciative
Cons
Since this is a remote site (The head quarters of IDT is in San Jose), lot of news/action comes after the fact
Advice to Senior Management
There is nothing to advise as they are doing almost everything right in all the areas they can control or can influence
Pros
Medium sized company with a small company feel
Not overly reliant on flows & processes. Allows for flexibility in decision making.
Cons
Overall compensation lags industry. Does not always take prompt action to address changing market conditions.
Not always profitable and profitability varies with general industry conditions.
Advice to Senior Management
Take employee development more seriously. Institute more programs for employee career development.
Take bigger risks in selection of markets to participate in.
Pros
Encourage learning by taking courses
Cons
Slow moving place at times
Advice to Senior Management
Should focus more on certain fields
Pros
If you like to enjoy the life while having a stable job, this is the great place.
Cons
This is no good incentive system, no enough space for experienced and talent engineer, Sometime there is some ambiguous policy inside which damage the efficiency. The top level is good but it looks BU do not know 'action'. There is no too much responsible technical leader. Finally, the new products always have many ridiculous issues.
Advice to Senior Management
Find and promote the right people to the right place
Pros
One of the great reasons to work at Integrated Device Technology is their compressed work week schedule. The schedule is a rotating 3on 4off/ 4on 3off.
Cons
One of the downsides of working at Integrated Device Technology is the room for growth. It is hard to learn new things to advance. People keep their skills and insight to themselves for job security.
Advice to Senior Management
Integrated Device Technology is a great company to work for. It has given me the experience (years) to advance myself to a new company.
