It was a good place to work and develop skills in the energy markets.

Natural Gas Trader (Current Employee) Chicago, IL

ProsGood benefits. They where slow to promote and transition into new roles. They provided a good work life balance.

ConsThe majority of the decisions where made in Green Bay. If you weren't part of the inner circle that develop the WPS business your opinions where marginalized.

This company is way to top heavy on managers and light on actual workers!

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Green Bay, WI

ProsGreat Benefits and hard working people.

ConsThey have downsized and gave all the work to remaining people to do. Can be brutal at times to try and get your work done. Too many supervisors that don't pitch in.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement is so top heavy its a joke that everyone has heard. The have a supervisor to supervise tiny groups of workers....ridiculousness!

Decent pay with a bad environment

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsPay is decent. Freedom to move around - laterally that is.

ConsWorkload is ridiculous. It seems like the people who work will do all the work while the ones who don't just socialize. Management most of the times does not know what employees do so they can easily be fooled by lazy employees. It also tough to explain to them what's important.

Advice to Senior ManagementPay close attention to the quality of the work to see who is working and doing meaningful work and who is not and adjust the merit increase accordingly. Get rid of PM, it's just busy work.

Integrys Energy Group and Minnesota Energy Resources a big disconnect between corporate.

    Technician (Current Employee) Rochester, MN

Prosdecent pay and decent benefits. Ok working hours.

ConsDisconnect between the big corporation and the smaller divisions it owns.

Advice to Senior ManagementLet the smaller divisions be more independent.

    Going through changes.

Stable employment with decent pay in a poorly managed company.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Chicago, IL

Prosstable company in a rock solid industry, 40 hour work weeks, opportunities for advancement for those with technical backgrounds

ConsManagement is inept, pay is below average for the Chicago metro area, task assignments can be mundane at times, promotions based on political connectedness

Advice to Senior ManagementPay more attention to the needs of your future leaders. Make people proud to work at Integrys. Cut losses when some projects seem doomed to fail.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
