Regional offices, working remotely
A few very strong leaders, many weak ones
Senior management very accessible
Lots of internal job possiblities before the restructuring
Was a "people" oriented company - until it wasn't

Many many weak leaders, including senior management
Unstable environment, mostly stemming from the inability of the board to steer
Job variety streamlined as the company restructured
No longer has the values that once made it a great place to work

Advice to Senior Management

Go back to the basic principles of being a "people" company.

Pros

It is a challenging place with lots of work to be done by all. There is never a dull moment.

Cons

Very top heavy, especially at corporate and board of directors. Currently each person is doing the job of three to keep staffing down.

Advice to Senior Management

Listen to your people more. Keeping a few more people to improve moral and letting people work under 50-60 hours a week is needed.
