I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

fantastic culture, work-life balance, benefits, mostly all pampering..
amazingly professional work environment.. with respect to aspects other than work you can challenge anything and everything and you will be heard for sure.. this place is a home away from home
vertical orgs can be really good to work for but only in techno functional areas..

    Cons

if you are an activator/performer/disruptive/thinker then stagnancy will haunt you every 2 or less than years.. work progress is very slow.. exposure as a technical person is negligible (mostly in all IT groups) except the tech you are working on (exposure/learning strictly subjected to your own interest; no body will say you a word if you remain av performer even for years), even in that there will be a team to take care of related worries.. its basically a place of talkers, #of doers are so less that you can ignore... two good parts.. 1. if you are lucky and highly patient then instead of just working round the clock, get yourself heard by management- you will shine unless until by then your ego and zeal had not died. 2. this place can be amazing if you are hired at some managerial level- then just settle for life :)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

walk the talk at ground level pl... be a risk taker..
