Pros
Cutting Edge, great place to work.
Cons
Some managers are incompetent and still thrive and survive
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up the good hard work, even if the stock price is not moving fast enough.
Pros
Well structured process for developing individual goals and objectives worked out between managers and employees. Provides for good sense of ownership of progress
Cons
Somtimes the politics of different groups interfere with best practices of tasks. Some managers recognize this and defend individuals to other groups. Some do not.
Advice to Senior Management
Provide some additonal opportunities for younger new employees to meet one on one with senior managers for some mentoring toward long term careers at Intel
Pros
Great peers who support you in every way. Lots of room to move around if you are not particular about location. People are open and one can talk to anyone in the org. There is politics like in any other organization, but there is lot of room to be heard also. Lots of mentoring from senior management if you want to go that path
Cons
Workholics work here. So balance between personal life and professional is non existent. Lots of A type people working so lot of pressure to stay ahead in your game.
Advice to Senior Management
Management needs to take feedback from employees more constructively. Set aside more time for mentorship opportunities. Senior management should take time to communicate often and consistently
Pros
good pay
good stock
good bonuses
good healthcare
Cons
bad work/life balance
cut throat environment for individual contributors and management
Advice to Senior Management
work hard to develop and nurture good employees
Pros
Pay, opportunity, stability, cutting edge, enjoy working with products consumers are interested in, Good people, compensation, benefits, upper management seems to care about employees.
Cons
Commute can be horrible. I have a long term concern for work live balance. Can be a highly competitive work environment,
Advice to Senior Management
Continue to win but continue to make integrity a top priority. Compensation, great products, and opportunity makes the competitive environment and long hours worth while.
Pros
structured process
great place to work and have fun
Cons
too much hierarchy
remuneration package not competitive
Pros
work life balance, telecommunicate, vacation (they don't track it or care if you go over), coworkers, autonomy, rotation, ability to get MBA.
Cons
Pay (always can be better).
Advice to Senior Management
None
Pros
-Great community
-Laid back atmosphere
-Great people
-Great food and drinks
-Very interesting work
-New technologies to play with
-Great learning experience
Cons
Intel definitely has that "big company" vibe where you feel kind of lost in the big picture, but inside your team you feel right at home.
Advice to Senior Management
I would have liked to see the interns be able to take part in some of the stock purchase programs and maybe have gotten better benefits.
Pros
Pros : Flexible timings, good pay scale, feels good to work with the leader of semiconductor
Cons
Cons: Not all teams having exciting project.
Pros
Intelligent/interesting coworkers; brand recognition of Intel; working for a company that produces products that everyone uses; pay/benefits; work life effectiveness
Cons
Rigor; Can be overly competitive at times; Technical aspect (keeps me on my toes, but there is especially a learning curve for non-technical employees)
